Farmstay holiday rentals in Christchurch

We had a superb one night stay with Sally and Murray on our way to the Banks Peninsula. They were flexible, helpful and very welcoming. We enjoyed chatting to them, the breakfast was delicious and the garden was a tranquil haven. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Jill's place is awesome. She is one of the hosts who just goes above and beyond ensuring the guests have a great time. The unit was super tidy and self contained - equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very good breakfast was provided as well (including bread, butter, jam, eggs, fruit, muesli) and she even left some sweet treats for us :-) just beware that the signal isn't the best, but we didn't mind at all. The location was perfect for our start towards Arthurs pass :-) Very much recommended and would definitely stay again :-)

Tom and Kat were amazing hosts! Great communication plus our arrival was seamless. Their property/house was absolutely stunning and was perfect for our stay. If we are ever in Christchurch again we will be staying here.

This was the perfect spot for me on a solo trip out of Auckland for Matariki weekend! The property is on the outskirts of Christchurch but near enough to drive in for shopping, food, activities, etc. They have a lovely dog (Kip), and the airbnb itself was very clean and tidy. The heat pump and light was left on for my arrival late on Saturday night which was so appreciated as it was cold and dark. Really cute little spot and very private despite being on the host property. Definitely recommend for a solo or couple!

5 Stars - Exceptional Extended Family Getaway! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property — it was everything we hoped for and more! The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it perfect for a relaxing family retreat. Our children especially loved interacting with the friendly farm animals — feeding them was a highlight of their day! The outdoor BBQ area was a great spot for family dinners, and the hot tub and sauna were such a treat for the adults to unwind after a day of exploring. The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, with great attention to detail that made our stay feel special. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and designed for comfort. Highly recommend this place for families looking to experience nature with a touch of luxury. We’d definitely love to return!

Sarah's place was perfect. We were staying for an event in Lyttelton and taking the ferry across was perfect. It was peaceful and had everything you could need. Lots of interesting books, art and so comfortable. I definitely recommend this place for a stay.

Brie's place is seriously a gem. Waking up opening the door overlooking the balcony to the backyard farm was quite spectacular for a city guy. Everything is clean and perfect. The design of the interior makes it feel like home. I find that just by looking both outside and inside the house, brings a certain calm and peace. This is the where the value lies. It's also just the right distance to go to town (by car). And the apples in front, is really sweet and fragrant, almost like a perfume. We took one and ate it, it was amazing. I wish I knew it sooner so that it can be our breakfast (if allowed by Brie, ofc). To put it simply, it's the best blend of nature and modern. Seamless transition between inside and outside. This is one of the best place I've ever stayed on.

Château Pritchard The best BnB I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at so far! Barbara is the best and she is absolutely amazing! She would go the down the extra mile for you and helpful with basically anything! Just ask. The host is extremely efficient, pleasant and friendly. I’ve even called her my fairy godmother. She designed my bridal suite way above my expectations and it was absolutely stunning! We’ve booked in for 2 nights for my bridal suite plus all the other 2 rooms a night for the entourage. Chateau Pritchard is absolutely gorgeous place, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Amenities were so great. High quality rooms and high quality service. Excellent property and very convenient, spotless and has a fantastic vintage charm. This is the perfect spot for a wedding/entourage accomodation, special occasions or simply a weekend getaway from the city but you don’t need to drive miles away. I have stayed at dozen of BnB in NZ. This was on the top of the line. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. Never ever hesitate to book in Chateaux Pritchard for your special events or intimate occasions. Lovely getaway for 3 nights. Had everything we wanted plus offered a quiet peaceful environment. Spa pool was a nice bonus.

Delwyn and Jason gave us such a warm welcome we felt at home straight away. They were most accommodating hosts and we had lots of interesting conversations with them. There were lots of thoughtful touches, it was a real home from home. The property was very peaceful with lovely views and we found it a good base for visiting Christchurch, Akorora and Lyttelton.
