Holiday rentals with beach access in Christchurch

We were very fortunate to have been able to stay in Elizabeth's accommodations! Her apartment was great and we could begin our days there refreshed and ready to set out. The kitchen had all that we needed and so we cooked whenever we wanted. A good walk down the hill to the waterside and the ocean beach was just what we wanted for exercise. Hikes in the surrounding hills were wonderful, and the dark skies out our patio at night were amazing for star gazing. Elizabeth was a very kind host and we appreciated the way in which she made our stay so worthwhile! We would definitely visit again!

Lovely, peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful gardens. Perfectly situated for exploring Banks Peninsula / Lyttelton Harbour area but also felt like you could be miles from nowhere. We had intended to poke around Chch, too, but liked it here so much we just stayed close. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sitting area. A real gem.

Fabulous location on The Esplanade at Sumner Beach. Lana’s place is spacious, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Enjoy all the homely amenities, park at the door and walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. Lana’s place is excellent value.

Great place to stay, comfortable and felt homely

The apartment was perfect for the start of our new zealand trip! It was super clean, cosy and the view was amazing! The flowers on the terrace were a highlight for me too. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bed and the sofa were very comfortable. The city center and the beach are easy to reach even by bus. Lynette and Ken are wonderful hosts-the communication was very good and they were very friendly. We even got some very great tips for our trip. We can totally recommend stayind under the yellow canopy!

Beautiful location with a park and trails right out the door, with easy access to beaches and town.

Lovely quiet and comfortable apartment with all we needed very close to the beach and excellent cafes/restaurants. Chris and Annie were fabulous hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Richard and Amy's place. The apartment is newly renovated, well appointed, extremely clean, and beautifully situated directly across the road and a short walk over the dune that leads to the beach and ocean. The bed was comfortable, the shower was awesome, the parking was easy. Within walking distance to a couple of nice cafes for breakfast. Richard was a responsive host and we hope to stay again when we next visit this beautiful country.

I loved Karina’s place. The location is stunning, direct access into the beach with gorgeous views from the house. The property is so well presented with so much attention to detail to ensure guests needs are more than met! Karina left us a generous and thoughtful hamper gifts. I would highly recommend Karina’s property to anyone wishing to stay in luxury surroundings in a fab location!

We really loved our stay, and definitely recommending👍🏻 It was right next to the beach, and was located in a very nice new buildings complex. The TV also had hundreds of channels, and wifi worked great👍🏻 The space was located in 2 floors, and had also a very nice yard, where you can just sit, eat & take a sunbath🤗 The area was also very nice & peaceful👌🏻 The only downside was maybe that it didn’t felt very private when you opened the curtains, cause all the neighbours, and people walking by can just peek through..! And the main entrance door window curtain has to be opened all the time even if you’re not home, cause you can close the curtains only from the inside! Sten

My new favourite place to stay in Christchurch, beautiful home with lots of spots to sit and relax in the sunshine. Right across the road from the beach and a very cool cafe around the corner. Definitely recommend this home!

We had a lovely stay, nice big house for our family of three. Was great to have a high chair and cot provided and our one year old loved the toy box and an outside area to play in. Would highly recommend this house for any families visiting the Christchurch area

This was a beautiful home, located about 30 minutes from the airport. We loved being able to look out onto the small bay. It’s a very quiet street, and has a great walking path going in both directions. House was very clean, well stocked.

Great apartment, close to the beach and a great park.
