Beachfront holiday rental in West Hobart

Definitely worth checking out if you're planning to stay on the North Island of Bruny, it was very nice relaxing by the water there for a night.

The host and her lovely family are very friendly and easy . Sandy bay main park / ocean views are only 5 min walk - posh and nice area

We had a comfortable stay in a great location and in a quiet residential area. The amenities are great and I would like to stay again.

Fabulous views and 70’s style charm! Gorgeous location near the water, rolling mountains and everything you need inside the house, a home away from home. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating! Wish I booked an extra night.. I would go back again..

The tiny home is set on a big property with beautiful views and lots of wildlife to enjoy. It had all we needed and was close to the local shops and beaches

Loved our 11 night stay in this wonderful home. Highlight for us were several visits from 2 very healthy looking Echidna’s and the abundant bird life. This was truly a home away from home and we felt very comfortable from the time we stepped through the front door. Many happy hours spent in the hammock 😊. Claire’s place was remarkable! We oohed and ahhed when we arrived and didn’t stop doing so during our stay! The proximity to the water is just a few metres! The boys fished right out front, strolling and casting up and down the beach. The home is delightful and sparkling clean! Claire is welcoming, accommodating and quickly receptive to questions. Our favourite part was hearing and watching the waves rolling in. We didn’t want to leave!

Farida's house is amazing! It has a spacious layout and offers breathtaking views. Staying there feels just like being at a resort—so relaxing! I highly recommend her place.

The place is more beautiful than pictures. It's like a house with a private beach. And the beach is more closer than it is in the Airbnb add which was surprising normally it is other way around. During the day we explore different part of Tasmania and we all feel excited returning to this place. The view and sound of the wave is priceless 👌 Our host Deb was really responsive and helpful. Best Airbnb experience so far!!

Beautiful house right near the beach and walking distance to kids parks/cafes and restaurants. The house itself is of very high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at Tinderbox for three nights in February 2025. It is a beautiful 'perched cabin' in the bush with the stunning smell of blue gums all around. The views to Tinderbox Bay and to Bruny Island were great.. with the sun rising right into the bedroom! It was a delightful new find for us regular visitors to Tassie, coming from Melbourne on the Spirit. We loved the lounge area, though we were less happy with the high bench with stools being the only 'table'. A normal table and chairs, placed to look out the window would be our suggestion. The fridge was rather small, but we managed. Apart from that the amenities were excellent. We loved the hot tub on the deck... though the weather was rather warm when we were there. We did not try the sauna. We went snorkelling twice down at the boat ramp, and loved the wonderful kelp and other sea grasses and plants next to the sandstone cliff... Saw quite a few fish but no sea horses.. Chip kayaked twice in that bay.

The most relaxing down time. Dream location , beach is so private only the local neighbours utilise it. even though the weather wasn't amazing we had a great time captivated by the ever changing view that is so close you can you literally touch it . The property set up makes it so easy to just walk in and feel right at home . This was our fourth stay since selling our own holiday home and is the perfect Airbnb for us each year.

A truly luxurious stay! The space is modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. Stunning views and the hot tub made it even more special. Every detail was thoughtfully considered for a top-tier experience. Richard was very responsive and provided clear instructions, making everything seamless. Would love to stay again!

Swimmable beach just forty steps away on large quiet bay. Wallabies and birds visited. About 7-10 minutes from all you need. We liked it for its proximity to Hobart and popular Tasman cruises.

Karen was very responsive and helpful with good recommendations. The house looks exactly like the pictures and has amazing views; we really enjoyed our stay. Note to Americans, there is no AC cooling which was fine if you open a window or used the fan.

We were so lucky to be able to call Saltcotes home for a few days. So homely and well appointed. Thanks so much Frances and we look forward to hopefully coming to stay again.

This property is truly a special place. The location is remote with spectacular views and a wonderful sense of privacy . It is a privilege to stay in a property so lovingly designed and built by such a renowned architect yet with a feeling of such a personal attachment in every little tiny detail . We stayed 3 days with the location being a great base to travel all over Bruny island and we certainly plan on returning

We were traveling as a family group of ten and this house accommodated us so well. The location is so beautiful and we loved exploring the local region and then coming home to wander the beach each evening. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful

Marks place was amazing in every way! A perfect retreat for those wanting space and serenity! Would highly recommend and will stay again next year
