Holiday rentals with lake access in Wānaka

We loved our stay in Hāwea, especially with the secret sauna nearby. The house was spotless, easy and had all the facilities. Thank you for having us!

Linda was a spectacular host. Her place is in the best location. Peaceful but walking distance to the lake and the downtown!! the beds were comfortable, the amenities were above and beyond!!! We got married in wanaka and linda’s place was the perfect accommodation!!!! 💖💖

Wow! What a place! The moment we arrived we felt relaxed and calm, the combination of the sound of the river flowing, the snow on the mountain peaks, the green grass and unbelievable views immediately calmed the soul. We loved the hot tub overlooking the mountains and the steam sauna just outside of the house. The house is spacious, the linen is sooo comfortable, it has everything you could want and more. we have traveled all over the world and Rebecca and Graeme’s Airbnb is right up there with one of the best we have stayed. Thank you SO MUCH for hosting us, we can’t wait to visit again next year.

A really beautiful area and great location. A very comfortable property. Took a bit of tweaking to get the hearing right but everything worked. We enjoyed our visit to Hook to catch a salmon and then cooked it on the BBQ and enjoyed chilling on the porch taking in the view.

Thanks Amanda. We had a fabulous break at your lovely home in Lake Hawea. The lake was breathtaking, we had a brilliant outdoor time on bikes and walks and we loved our meals at the Lake Hawea hotel.

Craigs house was really nice, modern and clean. The outside area (veranda/ porch) is great with kids to have a huge area with shadow during midday sun. Craig himself was really friendly and communicative. We would love to stay again there!

Amazing place we will be back

A great location with an amazing view, well equipped and comfortable. Host was easy to contact, responsive and quick to remedy the small issue we had with the TV. We would definitely stay there again.

Megan was really friendly and checked in to make sure everything was ok and if I needed anything. The street is lovely and quiet and a very quick drive into the centre. Would love to stay again!

Hanna and Doug were great hosts. Very responsive to my few questions and provided great recommendations for activities around the local area. I would highly recommend staying here and will stay again if in the area.

Lots of space in the place. Quiet side of town. We had some lovely walks from the place. The scones Edgewater were amazing! Wanaka is a beautiful town.

We had a fabulous stay at Clee Cottage. It is a beautiful place, perfectly located at Bremner Bay on Lake Wanaka. The house is charming, comfortable, very well equipped and set in beautiful gardens. Gorgeous place!

We had another fantastic stay with Ray and Deb in Cromwell, our second time staying with them while in town for an agility show. Their house is in a perfect spot, just a 10-minute walk to the Stoaker Room for dinner, and close to many walkways leading to the lake. The accommodation is always clean and comfortable, with beds that guarantee a great night's sleep and everything we need to feel at home. Deb is absolutely lovely and makes us feel so welcome every time. It's the little things that make such a difference, and their place has truly become our favourite spot to stay in Cromwell. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This cozy cabin is tucked away in a quiet, private neighborhood - perfect for a peaceful escape. The patio and garden were absolutely lovely. It can be a bit tricky to find, especially at night, as you’ll need to drive along a gravel path and driveway, and the area has no street lamps. But the lack of light pollution makes it an amazing spot for stargazing on clear nights—absolutely beautiful! The bed was very comfortable—I had one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. Libby was friendly and offered some great local recommendations.
