Holiday rentals with lake access in New Zealand

Lovely spot , great location with access to the lake, river walk, and easy drive 5 minute drive into Taupo. Well fenced for children and outside bath was a treat. Will be back again next time we visit Taupo

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful place , definitely enjoyed our stay . Catered to everyone’s needs . Communication was amazing even though it was a weekend thanks to Kristin and team . Most definitely recommend booking and looking forward to our next booking cheers

We booked Katrina's place for the Ironman in Taupo and it was amazing! The location was quiet, beautiful, and only 20 minutes from Taupo. It was walkable to a swimming area on the lake and to beautiful trails for running and biking. The house was immaculate and perfectly equipped for a week-long stay. My family and I were so comfortable here, I enjoyed it so much.

Thanks Amanda. We had a fabulous break at your lovely home in Lake Hawea. The lake was breathtaking, we had a brilliant outdoor time on bikes and walks and we loved our meals at the Lake Hawea hotel.

This is an awesome home. Well furnished and the kitchen has every item you need to cook up a feast. Very spacious and the swim in the river was great. We will be back one day.

Amazing location - you can easily walk into town along the lake track or drive in (only a few mins drive). You are right on the lake, so the views are stunning, and it’s very peaceful. The apartment itself is self contained which is great if you are staying a few nights.

Love the location and the apartment ! Dishwasher and Nespresso machine came in handy !!

There is a comprehensive guide book available before check-in, which provides very detailed introductions. The house is also very beautiful. It has a three-story structure and there are three terraces from which you can enjoy the wonderful scenery. Besides, there is a garage.

A lovely quiet spot in the trees and a short drive to the lake. Everything was thoughtfully done and we loved our stay. A good space for our 1 year old as well.

My husband and I were in town for the NZ Ironman. The location was absolutely perfect. Liz and her partner were very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend if visiting Taupo!

Wonderful location. Easy walking distance to cafes and shops. Fantastic view and lovely creek right beside to lull you to sleep. The place was clean and lovely, highly recommend.

Beautiful, spacious, and on the lake!

Rob's place is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and the house is well set-up, clean and tidy. He provided very thorough instructions and extra information. Highly recommended! Like a homely hotel.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Clare’s place. The house is in a small peaceful village and we enjoyed exploring the area and neighbouring areas of Mt Cook and Tekapo. The house was well-equipped with a full kitchen, washing machine (& dryer!) and comfortable beds with great linen. The hot tub outside was a wonderful addition & is well worth the extra fee! We had poor weather for 2 of the days we were there and were so happy to be in such a wonderful house. We went to Lake Ohau for their set menu lunch on one of these days, it was lovely. We would highly recommend booking this place for those looking to explore the area! Just make sure you do a supermarket shop prior to coming to the area as there is no shop in the village and only one smaller supermarket in Twizel. This was no issue for us as we had done a shop prior, but just something to be aware of when planning. Thank you Clare!

Judith's place was lovely and modern. Met her when we arrived and left. A good array of places down by the lake. I would recommend her place to my friends. She basically has everything there people will need.

perfect hideaway. When I lost my phone Florence helped us by calling around. always responded fast and friendly. The love shack is fantastic. quiet, secluded, peaceful, beautifull views..

We were two couples travelling together and had a great time here! We cooked each night and enjoyed the surroundings. Both bedrooms were comfortable the doors out to the deck on our room were great. The doors and windows in the whole place allowed for a lovely breeze. The lounge and dining rooms allowed us to eat and relax comfortably, the deck was also a fabulous spot for the afternoon and morning. A great location for an easy walk to the general store, white water kayak watching and the Okere Falls walk too - loved that!!

No frills cottage in a fabulous location across the road from the river (great for refreshing swims) and a few minutes' walk to Lake Taupo. Thoughtfully stocked with books and games and full kitchen. Zara was very welcoming. A tiny bit of noise from trucks on the highway.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage near Lake Pukaki. The entire family loved it! The cottage is stunning, with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains that you can enjoy from every angle. It truly exceeded our expectations. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It’s also easy to find, which added to the stress-free experience. We had the best time here and didn’t want to leave. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, and we’re already planning to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene holiday with unforgettable views!
