Holiday rentals with lake access in New Zealand

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful place , definitely enjoyed our stay . Catered to everyone’s needs . Communication was amazing even though it was a weekend thanks to Kristin and team . Most definitely recommend booking and looking forward to our next booking cheers

The house is in a great location and the rooms are spacious enough. You can see Taupo Lake from the living room. The only minor drawback is that the towels provided in the bathroom are not clean enough. Some turn yellow, while others are covered in dust. But our family still likes it very much and we live happily.

Thanks Amanda. We had a fabulous break at your lovely home in Lake Hawea. The lake was breathtaking, we had a brilliant outdoor time on bikes and walks and we loved our meals at the Lake Hawea hotel.

This is an awesome home. Well furnished and the kitchen has every item you need to cook up a feast. Very spacious and the swim in the river was great. We will be back one day.

Absolutely loved Terri’s home, was very peaceful and quiet fit for a bunch of girls who love doing stay-cay’s around the North Island. Home is very modern and filled with everything you need. Lots of channels on TV & there’s a beautiful walk way just at the Lake. The drive to the supermarket if you needed or forgotten last minute things is close by and Terri gives you information on that too. There’s also a house info booklet which is in a clear file and it has EVERYTHING in there, from things you can do in Mangawhai to phone numbers of takeaway shops that are close by, that i loved so much. Saved us so much time, the views are breathtaking during the day and night. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re wanting a place to relax in. Thank you so much Terri! My wife and I stayed for several nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The washer/dryer died on us, but response time was immediate and maintenance quickly arrived to assess the situation. By the evening we had a brand-new unit installed. Pair that level of service with the amazing view and perfect location between the airport and downtown, and we definitely know where we'll be staying if we ever return.

Amazing view, great location, spotless place, tho has loads of flying insects at night so make sure you close the doors and windows to the balcony! Nonetheless, superb place. Thanks Joerg!

A fantastic place! Clean , beautifully designed, and stylish, especially the kitchen and living room. We really appreciated having a mirror in each room, which made getting ready much easier since there’s only one bathroom. The location is also very convenient, close to the city center. Highly recommended!

Great location with views of Lake Middleton from the lounge and 1 bedroom. Loved all the decor touches to make the cottage live up to it's "Snowshoe" name. Perfectly clean and entry was simple (even in the dark) when we arrived. Even though we had a lot of rain during our stay, the washing machine and dryer meant we weren't impeeded - just as easy as being at home. Fully equipped kitchen. Would love to stay again when we are back in the Aoraki region!

Another wonderful stay at The Cottage, it's such a great space to stay in, both spacious and private, the kitchen ensures you don't have to eat out for every meal, and location is great for waterfront walks and a visit to Old Cromwell. Hope to be back for a third stay next time I'm in town.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alec's place. It is very clean and well appointed, and we loved the calming, beautiful view. Highlights were paddling on the lake, playing Skipbo at the table as the sun set and a daily walk to Okere Falls Cafe for a coffee and a muffin.

Lovely spacious and well equiped kitchen, comfortable cottage and lovely outdoor fire and furniture. Nice large lawn and fully fenced property for pups to run around. Super close to the river and lake. Not far from Tongariro crossing. Perfect getaway.

Beautiful lakefront cottage with incredible views and a quiet and private location. This home is older but clean and well-maintained. There is no central heat or AC but the space heaters were effective. The host provided lots of information about activities. The house is located about 35-45 minutes to Mount Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo, 7 minutes from Lake Pukaki retreat (stargazing) and 15-20 minutes from Twizel with shopping and restaurants. The house was larger than expected with 4 twin and 1 larger (queen or king?) bed. Checkin was easy, kitchen was well-equipped and our stay was great.
