A touch of Venice in Portarlington...! Well-mannered dogs are most welcome but please ask them to bring their own bed. There are terrific restaurants close-by and the Bellarine is a wine growing area with plenty of cellar-door tastings. Lovely dog-friendly beach 4-minute drive away from the Bungalino.

We loved our New Year's break at the Captain's Cottage. Jamie and Linda are great hosts who, after providing some excellent recommendations for things to do in the area in advance and making us feel welcome when checking in, respected our privacy throughout our stay. They were particularly patient with our dog, who also took a shine to them, and was fond of visiting them without an invitation! The cottage itself was clean, cosy and lived up to the other excellent reviews. Jamie and Linda had thought of everything: from the quaint nautical themed decor to the complimentary breakfast supplies and port. Highlights for us were the hot tub, the views of sunset from the veranda, and saying hello to the horses in the neighbouring paddock. Our only regrets by the end of our visit were that we didn't find time to use the pool and that we didn't stay for longer!

Gorgeous cottage. Clean and very comfortable. Everything you need is available. The cottage is across the road from the stunning Golden Beach, however, the beach can only be heard from the cottage, not seen. There is only one general store in town and nothing else. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, I can recommend Melissa’s cottage.

All I can say is we’ll be back. This place is one of those gems that makes Airbnb great, especially for travelling with pets. The cabin is spacious, clean and a pleasure to stay in. Ali and her partner have thought of every detail including incidentals for dogs and even a welcome hamper on arrival. Quiet location while still being close to Daylesford. The kitchen is stocked like a real kitchen and the place is kept very clean. Great find.

Walks to Coronet Bay, Settlement Point, The Boat Ramp and for coffee to Fig and Bay are right at the end of the street. We had a great stay at Seafarers Cottage. Very Doggo friendly! They even had a doggy care package on arrival, very nice. All the rooms were comfortable and the games room in the bungalow out the back was a great space. We also utilised the hot outdoor shower when we got back from the beach. The property is very secure for the dog if we were to leave him at any stage. Really awesome stay! Thank you to the Ocean Blue Rentals team for accommodating a later checkout and for locating a left behind item that had us all in a panic for a bit! Would recommend Seafarers Cottage 💯
