This property was amazing! Michael met us to let us in and give us the keys. He went through details of the home in detail and also provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants, beaches, etc. We were very comfortable. The furniture and amenities made us feel at home. The most amazing aspect of the home was the huge balcony with view of the entire ocean! I could sit out there for hours! Katherina place is just perfect for us! The view of sea is extraordinary (the exterior terrace) and the area is just so peaceful and lovely. Katherina helped us so much, answered right away for any question we had, and was super helpful and considering when we had a mistake with the dates of the reservation. The place was very clean and well equiped, we will definitely come back! Katherina is the best❤️

Very nice apartment equipped with all comforts. Beautiful location because from the balcony you can see the sea. Very nice nearby beaches. The most beautiful ones in the south of the island are far away so I recommend making another stop if you want to visit that part of the island.

Amazing place great location the best host

We have stayed in many Airbnbs over the years and this was the best! The apartment was definitely luxurious and made us feel like we were in the fanciest hotel. The location was great, very near the center of town with a fabulous coffee shop just a block away. Best of all was the suggestion in the information packet of who to call if you want a private tour. It is hard to describe how wonderful Antonis was. He took us to various places on the island on two different days and stopped along the way at various places, explaining the history and significance of the site. He has a warm and engaging personality and is by far the best tour guide that we ever had. I highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you to the host for recommending him!

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

Nikos was an out standing host - the property was second to none - really pleased I stayed - if I ever go back to Crete, I will definitely stay at this property - thanks again Nikos for being so friendly and helpful, bo5h you and your wife - by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at.

Only stayed for one night but this was a good place to stay. It is a bit small for two grown ups and two kids but if you keep things organized it's still a pleasant stay. WiFi was way too slow for remote work but connecting my laptop to my phone's hotspot saved the day. Maria was very friendly and helpful so this place is definitely a good option for couples and even families who don't need big indoor spaces.

Olga and his family are very kind people. The welcome is exemplary. Her mom Helene prepared Greek specialties for us for the duration of our stay. Thanks to his knowledge, we were also able to attend dance shows typical of the region. I recommend this destination without any problem. We will also go back to explore this Greek island further.

The owners of this place were amazing! They were so nice! The apartment is very clean and organized. The view is absolutely stunning from this place! Recommending everyone to stay here! Would stay here again if we ever visited!

We had a lovely time in Gournes. It's a quiet place with a few restaurants and a nice little beach. Georgios was very helpful.

Great host. Willing to go extra mile to make sure guests are well taken care of. The stay at the apartment was pleasant and relaxing. The way it was described on Airbnb. An apartment itself was clean and had quality furniture and design. Kids loved the mini jacuzzi. All the amenities and extras were available as described, which has added to the comfort during stay. George is friendly, patient and makes little gestures that matter. For example helped me carry the luggage; ensured jacuzzi water freshness; filled the fridge with grocery & snacks prior to our arrival. In summary very nice stay and good vibes.

We spent weeks looking for different places to stay in Crete. We needed two bedrooms Due to being a family of four and ideally wanted to be close to a beach. Mades wasn’t on our radar but it became our favorite beach and little hideaway. The market across the street was perfect for coffees and snacks. The view was better than pictures. It was a few steps away from a pretty private beach. The chairs and umbrellas were €8 for a set and the restaurant up the hill had great pizza. There are many great restaurants with 5-10 minute drive

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful condo with spectacular views of the bay and mountains. Apartment with all the necessary amenities for all needs. The host was very kind and attentive to us. He brought us fresh fruit throughout our stay as well as a bottle of wine and left us a good amount of bottles of water. Spacious and tastefully furnished apartment. Direct access to the seaside and located very close to restaurants and amenities. It was a beautiful stay and we will return at cost for sure. I highly recommend it. Everything was perfect.

The apartment is perfectly located to explore the island, you are in the center of the island, immediately on the highway (recommendation: before moving in, be sure to practice driving backwards to the mountain!!) and yet the apartment is very quiet and has a great view of the sea. Especially the small balcony directly above the sea appealed to us, even if it might be a little too hot/not shaded in summer. Here you can also quickly make friends with the 4 cats, who occasionally also drive the neighbor dog to whiteness. Those who are afraid of cats should prefer to look for another apartment with these attached specimens, cat lovers will love it. Marianna's mother is a good soul, bringing eggs from the in-house chickens as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all for us the perfect place to combine exploring the island with relaxation.

Great location, exceptional views. The host was very accessible for communication and very helpful. We enjoyed her recommendations. Free parking was difficult to find but there are 2 paid parking lots right next to apartment. Seafood restaurant across from the apartment was delicious!!

Wonderful place to stay. Right on the beach. Nikos and his father were there whenever we needed them and very attentive. Highly Recommended, as is Nikos restaurant, Libre, the best on the beach by a long way!

The apartment was super clean and recently renovated. We had a minor issue with the power line, due to exceptional bad weather, but Alex, the host, handled it like a pro. Great view from the balcony: it was nice to have breakfast and dinner there. Would definetly recommend.
