Barn accommodation in River Eden

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

A beautiful cottage in a stunning area…walks direct from the property and fabulous local hotel for food. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and my two teenage daughters loved the en-suite! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful old barn conversion within the court yard of a gorgeous old house and farm yard on the edge of the Lake District national park. The kitchen living space is bigger than it appears in the photos abs well appointed. Rebecca the host has pre lit the fire for us which made it very cosy. The property is surrounded by gorgeous countryside and it was very quiet and tranquil. Went in February so despite being crisp outside the property stayed nice and warm. Rebecca’s communication was first class.

Just arrived home after 4 relaxing and peaceful nights. The house is situated on a farm but you wouldn’t know. Diccon showed us in when we arrived and was very welcoming and give us some advice on the surrounding area. If you’re looking to walk Hadrian’s wall this is the place, the path goes right past the farm. We did a really big walk on our 1st full day and walked all the way to Banks a little village which has part of the wall in it, on the way back we stopped in at Lanercost priory and tearoom, well worth a visit. About 8miles round trip. We then did a couple of smaller walks on the other days. Then ended each day enjoying the hot tub and managed a couple of starry nights. This is a great addition. Brampton is a nice little town with a great butchers and foodhall. Would recommend and definitely visit again. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Back from a lovely stay at Richard’s beautiful property. The photos don’t do it justice. Great open space for living, dinning and kitchen. Great size bedrooms and bathrooms! Also has a pretty courtyard garden. Central location close to restaurants and pubs. Will definitely return!

The property was the perfect size and layout for a relaxed and enjoyable visit with family. Everyone had their own space and we were all very relaxed and comfortable there. It had everything we needed and was decorated to a high standard. Lots of space and we'll planned out.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

I booked Sharon's accommodation for 2 colleagues working in the area. The accommodation was lovely and provided all the home comforts required when working away from home. All communication was excellent. Would definitely book again.

we absolutely loved exploring area. then got back in and chilled in the jacuzzi under the stars. so peaceful, sky was so bright. very relaxing. just what we were looking for.

Reg and Lynn were very helpful from start to finish. The house was lovely and the area was beautiful and quiet. Our dogs loved the beach, which was only five minutes walk away. We would definitely come back!

The reviews did not lie! Pat and Neil were extremely welcoming and helpful when it came down to suggesting local walks, places to eat etc. We would really recommend the Aira force/Ullswater walk! They also introduced their dog Bob to our nervous dog which ensured our girl had a much more relaxing and enjoyable time. The barn was very spacious with a gorgeous fire which made for a very cosy feel. The bed was exactly what everyone had described it as, extremely comfy! The garden was lovely and big which extended the enjoyment of our dog. The whole barn was spotless and we couldn’t fault a thing inside. We would really recommend this stay and hope to return again in the not so distant future. Thanks once again Pat and Neil :)

We have just returned home from our stay at Bella’s Barn and are already looking at dates to return ASAP! We have had a brilliant short break. Kev is a fantastic host and made check in very easy, and was always quick to respond to any queries and also had some great recommendations of places to check out. Bella’s Barn is perfect. We had everything we needed upon arrival and even more. Everywhere was immaculate and still very cosy. We had a great time relaxing in the hot tub after long days exploring the Lakes and having SMART TVs is always appreciated to cosy up and binge our favourite shows late in the evening. The barn truly is kitted out with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. We spent time visiting Windermere which isn’t too far a drive, however have so many other places listed we want to see when we inevitably return. Thanks again for a wonderful stay Kev!

This is the 2nd time staying at Emma’s , I stayed last year around the same time. The cottage is tucked away in the countryside not far from Penrith and the M6 motorway, it’s such a peaceful location. When I got there just after 3pm the cottage was warm and very cleans, in fact spotless !. The kitchen and bathroom use quality fittings and the walk in shower is wonderful (I must get one in my home). The bed is very nice, the mattress is perfect has is the bedding. The tv is small but has a brilliant picture and has a hdmi port for a streaming stick if you have one also the DAB radio is great . The biggest surprise is the speed of the wifi I got about 450mbps down and the same up, not what you expect in the countryside !. Emma left me a pint of milk,bread, homemade cake and a bottle of wine. Last year I stayed 3 nights but this time I stayed 5 nights which tells you everything !

We had an amazing stay at this warm and cozy place with fabulous view! The host gave very clear instructions and we did not have difficulty finding the place. He also made checkin very easy. The place was very spacious for our party of 5 adults and 2 kids. There were many books, toys and games which we and the kids enjoyed using. Kitchen was very well equipped. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay really comfortable lots of space great kitchen comfy beds everything we needed in a chill family break. We had a lovely weekend thank you.

We stayed over a cold December weekend and the place was stunning. Whether walking on the wild moors or snuggling in front of the log burner we were very happy with our choice to stay here. There were plenty of nice touches, including the tasty bread and eggs. We'd love to come back!

We had an excellent 4 night stay at Andrew and Lynn’s. A very easy and flexible check in made for a relaxing arrival. A warm cosy cottage with a wood burner and plenty of character. Outdoor area is an added bonus if the weather is right! Pardshaw is a superb location and only a short drive from Loweswater. The cumbrian coast is also not far away for those who are drawn to it. Thanks for an excellent stay.

We had the best stay here. Cannot rate it enough. Highlights - gorgeous wood fire - “best pies ever eaten” at lovely pub a stones throw away - lots of sheep! Pictures don’t do it justice. Will hopefully book again!!!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our cozy break at Garrs End Laithe. As previous reviewers have said, the barn was perfect in terms of facilities, cleanliness and location. We loved accessing the beautiful Dales straight from our doorstep as well as pubs, tea shops and eateries - without needing to get in the car. Fish & chips, R bar, Craven Arms and Gordale Scar were particular highlights, as was Karen’s helpful local advice, lemon drizzle cake and even the loan of a food processor! A fabulous property and all round experience!

If you are looking for a relaxing break this is a perfect setting. Plenty of walks, local pub serving delicious meals and fab pool and hot tub exclusively for your use! David provided logs and coal for the fire and many other extras! Sky TV and excellent Wi- Fi signal. The cottage is perfect for families with young children, so much outdoor space. An excellent place to recharge your batteries!
