Had a lovely weekend staying here with my mum. If you drive it was perfect - just outside Keswick/close to so many beautiful walks. Even though the place is an annexe to their house we felt private and undisturbed. Squeaky clean and comfortable with everything you might need. The view to the mountains from the porch was unbeatable. Would stay again!

Beautiful warm clean accommodation . The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Bathroom was large, very clean and hot water. Julie left us a wide choice of breakfast including vegan, lovely. Very private and quiet, parking. Attention to detail was great “sheep” .

Such a gorgeous little home away from home. Had everything you needed for winding down after a day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was left for the morning as well as milk and butter, which was a added bonus. Perfect distance to take a hike in the lakes or explore Lancaster. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area. Truly beautiful!

Raphael and Steve were brilliant hosts there is nothing they wouldn’t help you with. Their home is amazing and beautiful to stay at. The breakfast is perfect. We would thoroughly recommend. Look forward to visiting against n

We had a lovely stay at " Blackberry Cottage" Helen was very welcoming. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed, it was a very comfotable stay over New year. We would love to go back in the summer months.

Gorgeous estate full of character, which was quiet and peaceful. A lovely cosy wee flat with everything we needed, the beds were spacious and comfortable. Particularly liked the beautifully scented locally made toiletries and the use of eco products. Great communication from Caroline, everything was clear and informative. Information provided inside was the flat was easy to follow. Really enjoyed a relaxing and carefree stay.

Susan's place was exactly what we needed. I was beautifully located, up in the hills slightly outside Haltwhistle, but still close to the town. It is great for walks too and Susan was a very welcoming host.

We loved staying here over new year. We were so impressed with the price and even more impressed when we arrived. It is well worth the money for only a short drive to nearby mountains. Sonia was an attentive host with the place having all that you would need to live for a week including cooking all your meals there! Would definitely recommend

Me and my partner had a great stay at Louisa’s apartment! Louisa was super welcoming and accommodating. Great location for local restaurants and near to loads of great walks in the Lakes. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back again!

I booked Lilias place as a Xmas present for my son and his partner. They had a fabulous time. They loved the property - especially with the wood burner (for which fuel was kindly provided) and the lovely bath. They also loved the village itself and they ate at the local pub and really enjoyed that too. They visited Hadrians Wall and walked Talkin Tarn and overall had a fabulous 2 nights away and have recommended that me and my husband go ourselves - which we will no doubt do at some point. Thoroughly recommend. Lilia a great host and communication was spot on.

Right up there with the very best places we’ve stayed in (and we’ve stayed in lots). Fantastic accommodation in beautiful surroundings with friendly, helpful and charming hosts. Lots to see and do in the area with brilliant walks in a quieter part of the Lake District. If you are looking to be in the area or just want to stay somewhere stunning then what more could you want.

Me and my partner had a great stay at Emma and George’s property. It was a perfect relaxing end to a long day on the fells. The communication and instructions where fanatic through out our stay and we hope to stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Susan's Airbnb. The property is peaceful and full of charm, with quirky sculptures and a river running through it. Susan and her partner were incredibly kind and thoughtful, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Due to the cold weather, they let us use their indoor bathroom and kitchen instead of the usual shower block, which was much appreciated. The room was cozy with an electric heater and blankets, keeping us warm even in December. We loved feeding the ducks and horse, Raven, and relaxing by the fire in the evening. The views were stunning, and while the nearest shops were in Penrith (25 minutes away), it was the perfect spot for a peaceful retreat. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Marj’s farmhouse is a fantastic B&B on our visit to Scotland. Great location close to M6. The farm brought back childhood memories at my grandparents village. If you have kids, this is a must go as they can play with goats, chicken and a horse!

This is the 2nd time staying at Emma’s , I stayed last year around the same time. The cottage is tucked away in the countryside not far from Penrith and the M6 motorway, it’s such a peaceful location. When I got there just after 3pm the cottage was warm and very cleans, in fact spotless !. The kitchen and bathroom use quality fittings and the walk in shower is wonderful (I must get one in my home). The bed is very nice, the mattress is perfect has is the bedding. The tv is small but has a brilliant picture and has a hdmi port for a streaming stick if you have one also the DAB radio is great . The biggest surprise is the speed of the wifi I got about 450mbps down and the same up, not what you expect in the countryside !. Emma left me a pint of milk,bread, homemade cake and a bottle of wine. Last year I stayed 3 nights but this time I stayed 5 nights which tells you everything !

brilliant stay at the spinney. Beautiful location and Adam & Mary are fantastic hosts. Would recommend walking to the Kirkstile Inn (and booking a taxi back!) as well as eating at the Wheatsheaf locally. 10/10 would stay again!!!

Thanks to Jo and her family for their hospitality and welcome this weekend. A lovely converted annexe with tea, coffee and snacks on arrival for both humans and dogs. Clean and well presented with nothing too much trouble to help. Situated just outside of Penrith the house is a perfect location with beautiful surrounding local walks.

We had a truly lovely stay. The place is so cosy and homely. We were in the area for a festival but would book again for a walking holiday - such a beautiful part of the world and this accommodation is a great base for exploring the lakes. We loved having the coffee machine, the bed was comfy and we felt completely at home. The dogs were super-friendly and cute and the hosts really helpful.

We spent a few days at Joanna's apartment to start the year. Orton is very quaint, peaceful and a great location for walking in the Yorkshire Dales. It's also just 30 minutes from Lake District towns, so a fantastic base for exploring. The apartment itself was very cosy and looks just like the pictures. There's a very well equipped kitchen, the bed was warm and cosy, and we loved curling up on the sofa during the evenings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a bit of R&R!
