Beautiful stone cottage in a mountain setting 20 minutes from Sitia. Stunning scenery! Villagers extremely welcoming and hospitable bringing wonderful Cretan baking. Host gave us a private tour of the nearby archeological site and then delivered dinner to us! We were fortunate enough to be given a walking tour of the mountain by a fellow Canadian in the village. An unforgettable experience in a warm community. A car is needed and follow Nikolaos’ directions carefully.

The villa was so beautiful, very stylish and fulfilled all of our needs for a peaceful getaway in the sun. Yannis and Zoe left lots of local treats for us to try when we arrived and the whole villa was equipped with thoughtful bits and bobs that were very handy to have! They also sent us a long list of local beach/food recommendations that was extremely useful! Etia is a lovely tiny hamlet and feels very special to have the chance to stay in, the surrounding ruins and landscape make the place private and quiet, perfect if you love nature. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be sure to visit again!

Hello Elina, thank you very much for the wonderful and relaxing time. I stayed at the accommodation with my brother for 14 days. My son also came for a few days. It was no problem at all. It has everything you need. The rooms are all very lovingly furnished. A nice combination of traditional and modern furnishings. Perfect accommodation for us. Pefki is a mountain village with a very nice taverna. Here guests are introduced to Greek music and food. Really very cool. The best way to go shopping is to drive the 7 kilometres down. You can get everything you need there. Best Beaches are within a 1 hour drive. 5 stars for everything. Thank you

I strongly recommend staying there!The apartment is located right above the sea, so you can only imagine how stunning the view is. I was hyptonized by the sea, spending hours sitting on the balcony to enjoy the sun from morning to evening, with the sound of the waves. This was a perfect setting as a solo traveler to take some time for introspection and for work on my laptop too (wifi connection was very good!). Everything is provided for you to cook and the bed was very comfortable. Nearby there are several supermarket, a bakery, and the location is good to explore the eastern part of the island. Just maybe if you are very tall it might be uncomfortable for you to climb up and down the stairs to the bed as it's on a mezzanine (I myself hit my head once lol but the area where it happened is padded so no harm, it wasn't an issue to me!) Manos was very friendly and welcoming, and super responsive whenever I needed. Thank you for the great stay! I will be back :)
