The villa was so beautiful, very stylish and fulfilled all of our needs for a peaceful getaway in the sun. Yannis and Zoe left lots of local treats for us to try when we arrived and the whole villa was equipped with thoughtful bits and bobs that were very handy to have! They also sent us a long list of local beach/food recommendations that was extremely useful! Etia is a lovely tiny hamlet and feels very special to have the chance to stay in, the surrounding ruins and landscape make the place private and quiet, perfect if you love nature. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be sure to visit again!

Beautiful stone cottage in a mountain setting 20 minutes from Sitia. Stunning scenery! Villagers extremely welcoming and hospitable bringing wonderful Cretan baking. Host gave us a private tour of the nearby archeological site and then delivered dinner to us! We were fortunate enough to be given a walking tour of the mountain by a fellow Canadian in the village. An unforgettable experience in a warm community. A car is needed and follow Nikolaos’ directions carefully.

Hello Elina, thank you very much for the wonderful and relaxing time. I stayed at the accommodation with my brother for 14 days. My son also came for a few days. It was no problem at all. It has everything you need. The rooms are all very lovingly furnished. A nice combination of traditional and modern furnishings. Perfect accommodation for us. Pefki is a mountain village with a very nice taverna. Here guests are introduced to Greek music and food. Really very cool. The best way to go shopping is to drive the 7 kilometres down. You can get everything you need there. Best Beaches are within a 1 hour drive. 5 stars for everything. Thank you

Absolutely wonderful accommodations. You must stay here! My cottage was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. I enjoyed hearing the birds every morning, and having a little kitchen to make breakfast without going out. There was a nice table and private patio outside my door, a perfect space for drinking coffee. The bed was just right (not too hard, not too soft) with nice bedding, and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. The “welcome” bottle of raki and local olive oil were lovely. As were the owners. I loved the location… walking distance to the village and beaches. And along the hiking route to Pefki Gorge (a must do). You must visit the excellent Piperia restaurant in Pefki. And the excellent bakery/confectionery in Makry Gialos. My only regret is that I didn’t plan a longer vacation here!
