Bungalow holiday rentals in New South Wales

A cute and comfortable cottage in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We enjoyed being close to the lake for dog walks, swims and canoe trips.

We spent a few tranquil days at Mates Rest for my husbands 50th birthday. We loved the beach shack vibe with all the modern amenities - spacious and airy, excellent location to walk to each end of beach, bowls club and general store. Excellent prompt communication from Geoff at all times. We will definitely be back. Beautiful spot, beautiful few days in the slow lane.

We had a great weekend here. A wonderful house in the bush with everything you need including a fun fire pit. The kids loved the bunk bedroom and I loved the decked out kitchen and record player. Walkable beach access and lots of local visitors including parrots and kangaroos.

I could not recommend Olivia’s place more highly. This home is so much more than the pictures could ever portray. A gorgeous family home with all of the creature comforts to make a stay with young kids seamless. The location is fantastic, the kitchen is new and very well appointed (sharp knives!), the beds were comfy (iykyk), and the place was spotless. A warm and inviting place for a holiday, we will definitely be back!

We just finished a 4 night stay at this place and it was lovely. There is a simplicity to low tech and low overhead living which is what this is about. Leave the windows open and live among the space. This is a summer haven. Close to the beach and countryside. The beach is a 2 mins drive up the drivewayt and across the road. The town is 10 mins away. That distance is perfect because the town is nuts. There are people everywhere. Each time I got back to the property I felt releived to be away from the crowds again. Gudrun and her partner are absolutely lovely people and impeccable hosts. They were super helpful and you can see that this place will just keep getting better. Thx

This is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Gerry is a wonderful host and gave us recommendations for dining out. The lizard 🦎 on the rock in the pond is real!

An amazing place to get away from the city noise and pretty much close to everything you need. Will definitely be back when we have another getaway trip to Port Stephens. 10/10 recommend for families to get together and enjoy without distractions around!!!

Bernie was a fabulous, friendly and welcoming host to ourselves and our dog! We all felt so ‘at home’ and relaxed. The gardens were beautiful and we had everything we needed and more! We can’t wait to come back again for some R & R.

Hazel and Owen are exceptional hosts. They take great pride in their home and made sure we had everything we needed. We originally booked for 6 weeks but ended up staying for over 10 weeks while we looked for a long term rental. Hazel and Owen were extremely flexible and supportive during this time. Their communication was great too. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Timbersands.

Had a great stay, Beautiful part of Australia. Place is close to beach and the pool and bungalow is nice and private. Little touches like bread, eggs and a few beers in fridge were much appreciated and added to the experience. Would highly recommend

By far the most enjoyable Airbnb experience I’ve had! Paula and Phil were the nicest and kindest hosts - they even made us bread in the morning!The unit is absolutely stunning and feels right at home. You also get to spend time with the cutest dog ever (Bonnie) and I would 100% stay here again!

Lovely relaxing cabin. Foliage and the privacy screening around the front BBQ space meant that you feel secluded even with cabins nearby.

Wow!! What a beautiful retreat. This home was stylish, comfortable, private and relaxed. Just what we needed. To sit outside in the evening and see a sky full of stars, was so calming. Our hosts were wonderful and helpful. And we all fell in love with the resident dogs! Thank you for a very memorable stay.

our family had holiday trip to sydney , and we are really happy to live here, 2mins walking distance to thailand n chinese food, also to aldi supermarket, at home they provide everything we need, and first come here he provide bread , drink n milk, the place is very quite confortable n i had good sleep here. Chen really helpfull too, overal we enjoy our stay here

Perfect place to stay for a few days while visiting family. Felt at home right away, everything I needed was there.
