Amazing. Sanath, Nadee and the family are so warm and welcoming. They are perfect hosts. The meals were fabulous. Nadee is a wonderful cook and the food she prepared was delicious. We went on safari with Sanath who is extremely knowledgeable. We saw many animals including elephants, python, monkeys, crocodile and numerous birds. He has a great respect for the animals and was able to give us experiences that we will never forget. He also took us to see the bar colony and to the Transit Home. Both very worth while. The transit home also has an interesting information centre. Sanath also took us to our next destination stopping at a couple of sites along the way for us to see. We had the best time in Ajith's amazing treehouse, which is built in and around a giant Mango tree. The treehouse itself is marvel and absolutely beautifully crafted. It feels spacious, yet cosy inside and we wanted for nothing. We loved spending time out on the deck watching beautiful birds and playful squirrels jumping through the trees and feasting on fruit that Ajith leaves for them. The property as a whole is beautiful and full of wonderful fruit and spice trees. Ajith is also a talented and passionate gardener and we had several conversations about about our shared love of gardening and botany. Ajith was a kind and friendly host, as was another gentleman who was always present to provide us with anything we needed or provide us with tips and advice for activities. They were so considerate, bringing mosquito coils or tea up into the treehouse for us. Also, the food we had for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, the best we have had in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We fell in love.

We spent one night here and enjoyed it very much. The room and bathroom were clean and there is also an air conditioner and a ceiling fan. The bed is over 1.80 m wide and very comfortable. The place is off the beaten path, there are no restaurants in the immediate area, but the hosts prepare a delicious and inexpensive dinner and breakfast. Upon request, also lunch. The next day we did a 4h safari, which was also organized by the hosts. Great value.

This is the place to stay in Udawalawe. It’s beautiful and peaceful. Hasith was great, communication was clear and he was quick to sort out any issues. The accommodation is so well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We booked our safari via Hasith which was amazing!
