Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cardrona

Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

Amazing place to stay in Queenstown! Picture perfect views, very spacious, quiet, and still an easy walk to town. Loved the hit tub. We would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely house and set up so well for a big group. We weren't a massive group - 5 adults and a baby, so it was very spacious. The views are incredible and the house has everything you need. The kitchen is so well stocked, like your own home. We'd definitely like to come and stay again. 15 - 20 min walk into the town centre. Really easy.

We had a great stay at this wonderful spot! My wife, 11-month old, and I stayed for 4 nights. Cozy, clean, peaceful. Randall and Amanda were welcoming and extremely helpful. Loved the fresh bread, eggs, & jam and the apples and almonds straight off the trees! We were happy to support and experience this sustainable, off-grid farm. Would definitely stay again if we end up back in the area. =)

An amazing view out of every window in the house, it was unreal! Centrally located on an active street, it's easily walkable (up/down steep hill) into Queenstown or to the skyline gondola and everywhere in between! We stayed here 4 nights and it was perfect for us! (3 adults 1 toddler) There was everything needed for our toddler, even a better suited pram for the walk up and down the hills! Washing machine and dryer were well utilised! To top it off there is a hot tub! We never got around to using it as we were always busy but just knowing it was an option was awesome!

So so so pleased with our stay. When we arrived, Nigel was onsite filling the hot tub for us. He introduced us to the friendly sheep named Babalicious and the friendly pup named Indy. Both were a pleasure to have around and we felt so welcomed. The house is beautiful and perfect for the group of 4 adults and one infant. We loved the setting and all the amenities.

nearby farms make for great walks! toilet was heated - comfortable to shower in cold weather 😂 host was responsive!

We had the most incredible stay at Anaka. The property is exactly as listed, a wonderful sanctuary for a luxury stay in a beautiful area. In addition to the beautiful home and easy to use sauna and hot tub, the kitchen has everything you need get you started cooking. There were great local recommendations and Sally was very friendly and quick to respond. We didn’t want to leave!

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

One of our favorite places we've ever stayed! This space was designed so thoughtfully, and was well stocked with the essentials. The location was just what we wanted–quiet enough but close enough to Queenstown for easy access to everything we wanted to do. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Paul & Lynne were great hosts. Friendly but unobtrusive. The place was so comfortable and was really relaxing. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We actually ended up getting takeaway and sitting outside, enjoying the garden and mountain views. The place was very clean. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

Great place to stay, easy bus/ cheap uber into Queenstown and plenty to do in Frankton.

I had a great stay in the cottage , The bed was super comfortable , It was nice and private. With easy instructions will defiantly book again. Birds chirping were just beautiful it was very peaceful.

Peter's place was perfect for our large freiend/family group. loved the fireplace and deck.

Great house. Clean, light, cozy and very well stocked. Location is central and walkable to everything yet tucked away from the main road. Great view of the mountains. The hosts are fantastic and very communicable.

The view is fantastic, every window is like a picture frame, the equipment is very fully equipped, the room is clean and tidy, the host is very warm and friendly, the best homestay while traveling in New Zealand.

Fantastic stay at Paula’s house. Great home for our family and had everything we needed. Local Bakery and Four Square just down the road. Added bonus that we got to use the Community pool, it’s a great set up for families. The weather was perfect and we got to use the pool everyday. Would highly recommend staying here

Fantastic location, clean and tidy. Lovely and warm on cooler evenings. So handy being 2 minutes walk to the Cadrona pub for dinner.

We loved our stay in Cardrona! The Apartment was perfect for our short stay with everything we needed. Great powerful shower and laundry facilities. This kitchen was also well equipped! The pool was lovely, a great addition to the stay. We loved visiting the Cardrona Hotel Restaurant, and had the bar food. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful stay at Tracy's home! Upon arrival, we were in awe of the modern property and beautiful surroundings. There was a blend of rain and sun during our stay, so we took advantage of every space. The home's interior is both contemporary and comfortable, with a sitting room and living room on one end and bedrooms and bathrooms on the other. A great layout. The outdoor space is generous, with a large deck, roomy seating area, and excellent pool to take in the mountain views. If you're lucky, you'll get a visit from the adorable neighborhood cat. This home was in a great central location for all of our activities – close to the action, yet far enough away for peace and seclusion. We hope to return someday!
