Sophie is a fantastic host who gave great clear instructions and was very responsive to all messages. The house was great for the 6 adults and 2 kids. A beautiful garden and short walk to the beach made this the ideal place for our chill summer holiday.

Lovely funky little batch, well equipped, and just across the road from the beach. Host was absolutely lovely, even walked our boxer for us one morning and let us check out late to fit around a surf life saving comp. Such a lovely accommodating person. Thank you

Lovely family & child friendly environment, had everything we needed, plenty of space indoors and out, secure section for our grandkids. As first time guests of an Airb&b we felt like we were in a home away from home.

Great stay at Matilda’s. Perfect spot while in the mount for work, quick stroll for after work swims. Nice to be able to bring the dogs along too.

Location is excellent - the main high street is a few minutes walk away, and in 10 mins you can be on the beach. Facilities are exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Kitchen was a little dated but fully functional and had everything needed to throw together an easy meal. The shower over the bath only just reached the top of my head so anyone tall would have to get creative! Communication was excellent start to finish. Clear instructions. A very helpful book with tips and ideas of places to go. Would absolutely book again. Thank you!

Nicola went above and beyond for me and my friends for my 40th birthday. The house has so much character and so much to do. The tennis court and swimming pool were an added bonus on top of everything else. The house had everything we needed. Great place for everyone to enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tennis court and pool were well used. Lots of space to play other lawn games. The pizza oven and smoker were fantastic. Water pressure was great. Far enough away from town for some peace, but close enough to travel to get the essentials. The only downside was a little bit of road noise at certain times of the day.

This is a wonderful AirBNB - extremely comfortable and it has everything you could need for a few days away. And it is a definite bonus to have a pool! Godfrey and Crystal made us very welcome and we very much enjoyed meeting them. We'll definitely be back.

Laurra’s bnb is such a great place. What a pity we only stay here for one night. Room is super clean and quiet with very supportive and comfortable bed, and wooden floor is my love. Not to mention the lovely furry families. Laura and Mike are very friendly and easy to communicated for us who are not English native speakers. We enjoyed a wonderful evening with them and the other quests for bbq in the beautiful garden. Fresh homemade ice cream is such a highlight. Also the delicious breakfast. Ah I can only tell we made a wrong strategy to stay here for one night :)

What a great spot! Large family home with a huge pool and lovely views of the countryside and the estuary. A quiet haven in between Tauranga and Kati Kati. Great for a family/ friends stay. Lots of space with multi indoor outdoor spaces, large interconnecting living rooms and central kitchen. Great pool and lots of sleeping options. We only stayed one night as attending a family gathering locally but easily could have happily stayed for a few relaxing days.

Lovely clean accomodation, everything spotless and everything we needed. Lots of goodies left to be used if needed.

The location is fantastic! Nearby to the Breach, Shopping and easy drives to all main attractions otherwise nearby

Wow what a beautiful place to spend one of the most important days in our life. Dee is the loveliest, caring host and went above and beyond all the time. The house is lovely, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We will stay every time we visit Matamata and would highly recommend this airbnb. We always choose to stay in high end accomodation and this was definitely how I would describe the standard of this house. Thanks Dee for making our stay such a fabulously happy one 💖

A real gem! 🌟 I stayed with Felicia in ‘Elsie’ (caravan!) for a month and absolutely loved my time there. Felicia is a superb host- she is friendly, great at communicating and went out of her way to drop me into the city on the couple of occasions that I got my bus times wrong! The extra touches of a fruit platter on arrival and fresh flowers from the garden each week made it extra special. Elsie’s setup is fantastic and the outdoor kitchen and bathroom made it feel super spacious (and so much fun)! The kitchen was really well equipped and shower pressure great which I really appreciated. Elsie is also in a fantastic location to explore Tauranga, with great bus connections and groceries/cafes all within walking distance. And the view from the front door over the estuary for the sunrise is stunning! Thank you for such a beautiful stay, I very much hope I can visit again in the future!
