Holiday houses in Waikato River

A beautiful place to stay, comfortable, Cheryl was a responsive host, leant us beach/ camp chairs for our visit. The photos don't do the house or surroundings justice, it's a wonderful place to stay. Great neighbourhood, the view of the bay changes all the time , with the tide and the weather, my favourite time of day was at the top of the tide when there was no wind and the bay was like a mirror. Lots to explore , beaches, waterfalls, swimming holes, thermal pools, mountains, gorges. We want to return in 2026, still so many places to explore.

We stayed at Beatrice's place for one night and highly recommend it. Beatrice gave us clear instructions to find her place and gave us the gate and door codes to get in. The place itself was outstanding, beautiful views of the lake and surrounding country. Everything seemed brand new, the bed was comfortable and the shower was awesome. The best shower we've been in since arriving in NZ. Thanks for having us Beatrice, hopefully we'll be back again in NZ one day.

Absolutely love the time I spent at Urs’ place. Beautiful location, cozy accommodation and overall a very peaceful stay. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a little break and retreat. Urs was super friendly and made sure my stay was comfortable. I will certainly come back if I have the opportunity

Fantastic property in a great location. Great areas with 2 outdoor spaces and really great en-suite with master bedroom being away from the other 2 bedrooms. Really well setup kitchen and amenities. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay again. Host responded very quickly and check in made easy.

Brilliant location with a quick walk to the beach.Wonderful big house that catered well for our family over from the UK & Oz. The best airbnb we’ve stayed at so far in NZ 😀

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The views are awesome. Sitting on the deck watching the sunset was a highlight. Nigel was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. Would definitely recommend this lovely place.

The place was awesome with lots of indoor plants and outdoor gardens. Had some fresh apples and pears tasted straight out of the tree. It had beautiful hill top view of lake.

Graham and Jeanette were wonderful hosts! Their home made for a beautiful and relaxing stay, the place was comfortable and perfect for a weekend getaway.

True to description, great little courtyard for my little dog whom was very at home this place. Super close to everything, beach just over the road coffee shop on the corner, bayfair and the Mt close. Kitchen with everything you need to cook. Very grateful to have a warm easy place to stay with a little dog. Thankyou so so much.
