Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Virginia

We had a great time at this airBNB. It was private, quiet at night despite some neighbors being close by. The house is better than the photos! It was perfect for our group getaway with the games downstairs in the basement. we explored local wineries nearby. would recommend this home! Next time we come back to the area we will try to stay here again! Lisa is a very responsive and helpful host.

Felt at home immediately upon arriving. Home was extremely clean and was well stocked with extras as well. The surrounding fields and hills were beautiful., and we enjoyed "the porch" and outside areas as well. You can tell this isn't just about making money ... she puts it back into the home to keep it pristine and welcoming for her guests. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and comfortable place to stay.

Excellent stay at RivahLife! The views were spectacular and the home was exactly as described. Easy to find with lots of stuff for the kids and adults. Looking forward to returning during the warmer months as the fishing, boating, and swimming would be more desirable. Thanks for the high chair and portable crib. Those things really help when traveling with kids.

Seth and Carla were extremely responsive during our stay! We loved how many beds this house had and we were able to all spend time together while comfortably being seated around tables/living rooms! We wish the fire pit had seating or that fireplaces worked, but we loved this property and its proximity to wineries and ski resorts!

We were locals needing a place to stay while our home was on the market, and this was our perfect home away from home. The decor and furnishings are modern and tasteful. It's conveniently located near highways, Coast Guard Base Portsmouth, and a nice Harris Teeter three minutes away for groceries. We appreciated that it was pet-friendly and had a fenced yard for our dog. We also enjoyed walking our dog in the subdivision across the street. We took full advantage of the LG washer and dryer, the comfy couch and huge Roku TV (easy to log into our streaming accounts), and a working kitchen with nice seating. Excellent local take-out spots are just three minutes away, too! The host was very proactive, friendly, and responsive with all communication. Kitchen supplies, dinnerware, etc. for cooking and eating are a bit sparse, so we supplemented with our own from home. The street the house is located on can be busy, and you can hear traffic inside. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.

Hutch’s Bluff is a gem. It felt very serene and private. The amenities were top notch. There were plenty of supplies to cook with in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with panoramic views of the river. 5/5

This place is very private and beautiful. The sound of the river next to it is very relaxing. Would definitely stay again and would like to come back during the summer.

This is our third time staying here! Perfect weekend getaway location to hike, see the stars, and enjoy the company of friends.

Great place to stay

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Fantastic stay in every way. Bryson responsive, friendly, made it so easy. Location absolutely terrific. Quiet residential area, very easy walking to restaurants, VMFA etc. Such a great way to experience Richmond. Place was absolutely clean, just as represented and had everything we needed for my wife and I to enjoy our stay. Nice to have parking out back. Without question, would return and spend more time here. Very glad to have had the days we did.

We had a lovely stay - the apartment is spacious and has everything you could need and the view out of the patio is gorgeous. Pam and Joe were so friendly and our toddler loved getting to meet their sweet dog. It was a peaceful place to retreat to while visiting VT for a football game.

We had a great overnight stay. We were in town for a Volleyball tournament and it was nice to come to a charming place that felt so homey after a long day! Alex was very accommodating, she was able to give us early check in and a late check out which was very appreciated! Loved the aesthetic and the bedding was so comfy! Would definitely recommend!

Great location and the apartment was just as cute as advertised

This beautiful Hideaway is a real gem. The mountain views are amazing. The cabin is cozy and a great place to get away and relax.

What an amazing stay! Such a cozy cabin and warm ambience. From cozying up inside by the fire to sipping coffee on the porch it was the relaxing stay that I so desperately needed. The porch is expansive and has extremely comfortable rockers, the bed upstairs with the soft lighting at night is romantic and relaxing, and the property was really enjoyable to walk around. The host was friendly and very responsive. I had a wonderful time with my fur babies and would definitely come back.

My family and I had a nice stay at Kayla’s cabin. The place looks just like the pictures. She was very attentive and responsive. Kayla gave great instructions for things around the cabin, directions getting there and things to be aware of. The Cabin is located near the end of the road up a mountain a bit but not too far up. There are neighbors nearby but I never saw anyone. Overall pretty private and definitely quiet. Jacuzzi was great and fire pit is legit. There is a nice view of front royal off in the distance at night too.

Our stay at The Pickle at Hat Creek Camp was nothing short of amazing! The cabin is the perfect size for a couple and was extremely clean when we arrived. The walking trails and disk golf course were our favorite amenities of the camp. We walked over 3 miles daily and still didn’t see the whole camp. The weather was a little too chilly for us to enjoy the water amenities but it gives us an excuse to come back in the warmer season. A disk golf set was in the cabin for use and we thoroughly enjoyed learning how to play. The cabin had plenty of things to cook with and eating utensils. Make sure to bring charcoal for the grill! Plenty of firewood for the fire pit was provided and was easy to find. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The heaters in the walls work great and warmed up the whole cabin quickly. Plus the heater in the bathroom ceiling was great on our cold mornings! We will definitely be back!!!

This was my dogs first night away from home! I was so nervous but Judy’s house was perfect!!! The dogs and their owners were so comfortable and pleased!!! Will be looking to stay in our way back!

Spent the weekend up here for a quick getaway. It’s a beautiful cabin - location is great, it’s very quiet, and it was the perfect place to escape life for a couple of days. Loved it!!

Amelia was a great host. My best friend and I went for a couple of night mom refresh and it was easy and refreshing. There is a lot you can do with a little better weather - canoe, hammock, kids playground. We enjoyed the hot tub, did a 1000 piece puzzle, and just the silence and serenity of no work and no dishes 😂. It was great and refreshing and now back to mom and work world. Will hopefully make it a quarterly event.

The cabin is very nice. The host communicates very well and provides detailed instructions that will make your trip very easy. Its like going to your own house. Everything was clean, available and orderly. Very nice cabin and we enjoyed it very much. The drive up to the cabin is trecherous. They offer a vehicle for the drive up which is awesome and I recommend using it. We had dry weather for our trip and used our 2023 chevy blazer. It made it, but was stressful and would not have if it had rained. Take a truck or take advantage of their SUV. You need some ground clearence to get up the drive safetly. Absolutly worth every penny. Great place with spectacular views!!
