Holiday houses in Strahan

Kerrie and Kellie obviously put alot of effort into keeping the colonial charm of the cottage. The cottage is well stocked with all the essentials. It's walking distance to most of the points of interest round the bay and a nice comfy place to stay. While the cottage isn't really aimed at kids and the hosts do make sure you're aware of it the untempered hot water system would be a serious hazard for small children.

Captains rest is a slice of heaven! The stay is beautiful, cosy, and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and thank Sarah and the team for sharing their place with visitors.

Beautifully decorated cottage, very homely and comfortable and the ducks were definitely the highlight of the trip. Amenities were as described, and we appreciated the heads up that there was no shower. Fully stocked pantry complete with fresh bread and plenty of extra linen if we were cold. Such a lovely spot looking over the water. Traffic noise was more than I would have expected being a bit of a drive from strahan and we were disappointed the jetty was closed. Overall a lovely stay.

A great place to stay that overlooks the Macquarie Bay…the view is absolutely stunning. Jimmy kindly advised with plenty of notice that the spilt system had broken down but made sure we had plenty of fire lighters, kindling and wood for the wood heater which we used both nights. The house was very clean and had everything needed but I would recommend a box of tissues. Overall I would strongly recommend staying at The Launch Pad Thank you again

Amazing house which is perfect for families. The kids had an absolute ball with the outside space. Great location with a lovely view. Susan’s communication was brilliant and provided us with lots of information around what was available.

Choose between “Location, location!” Or “How’s the serenity?”…either is appropriate for Anne’s house. It may be a longish walk into town but the view and the peace more than compensate. We only had two nights, sadly, but would happily return; spacious, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and a great nights sleep.

Nowhere else in Queenstown I’d rather stay, almost worth making the trip back down to Tassie again just to return. The town is full of history, and this building fits right in. Super comfortable, and ideal for some quality R&R in the wilderness.

Excellent Host and beautiful space. Surpassed my expectations. I was seeking a restful getaway and Vanessa's Quarters delivered. Vanessa was extremely helpful and responsive. The Quarters was quiet, peaceful, accessible and easy walking distance to all that I was seeking. The space was absolutely lovely! I will definitely be back!

Amazing place, would definitely recommend. Large, clean, comfortable, well furnished and stocked. Host even left us an Easter treat.
