The Seaforth Shack was very comfortable and quiet. It is close to town yet feels so remote. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Magical stay. Captains Rest is as beautiful as the pictures suggest and moreso. An incredibly special and peaceful place. Sarah's interiors are character-filled and well considered, such a wonderful take-home memory of a unique part of the world.

This place was just perfect for passing through. There were the cutest cows in the back yard. Beds were comfortable and the soaps smelled amazing! Most notable was Pam! She was the sweetest, most helpful person and we’re so glad we had the opportunity to meet her. She gave so many recommendations and they were all worth it. We were there on Valentine’s Day and trying to find a last minute dinner spot. When we couldn’t get a reservation anywhere, Pam called for us and got us a spot at a lovely place!! If nothing else, visit this place just to meet Pam.

Great place in Queenstown to stay for 3 nights. Pete was easy to communicate with and all the directions and instructions were very easy to follow. Had a great 3 days in queenstown. Very generous breakfast supplies and everything else we needed. Very close to town for everything. Highly recommend. Thanks Pete & Telisha.

Lovely home for large group or family. Well appointed and comfortable bedrooms and cosy living areas and a huge kitchen. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and made the most of the big deck enjoying the view. Susan was very responsive from the start and provided local recommendations including the fabulous fish van opposite the post office. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place. The view through the huge unubstructed floor to ceiling windows is second to none. The bed in the master suite is very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the house was immaculately clean. The open floor plan with all of the beautiful woodwork created a wonderful ambience. We will be back.... Thanks, Frank and Joanne

The most tranquil little spot by the water, with everything you need to make yourself at home for a few days ☺️

Very spacious inside with nice amenities. Loved the outside backyard patio – nice to sit outside and have a glass of wine at night. Inside decor was nicely decorated. About a seven minute walk into town for groceries, restaurants, etc. gas station is about a two minute drive from the location. We used this location as a hub to Cradle mountain and hiking, and it worked well.

Immaculately presented cottage; very clean; tidy; well organised; good variety of pantry items. Warm friendly feeling when entering. Proactive responsive easy to deal with host. I dare to suggest that this is the best short term accommodation option available in Queenstown.
