Family-friendly holiday rentals in São Jorge

one of the best airbnbs i have been to. the view from the flat is just stunning!

very nice place, up on the hill, surrounded by green and sheep and lava stones, jacuzzi is top and that’s why we stayed there. we didn’t have a car so our activities were limited… walking to the village was about 30 minutes. the lights inside are not too charming and the chairs in the kitchen not too easy to sit on because they have 3 legs. bbq outside that we didn’t use. good place.

This place was amazing - better than it looked in the pictures. It was super clean and well-maintained, the view is unbeatable and the surroundings are so peaceful. The hot tub with the amazing view is a huge plus! Also, previous reviews said the hill to get to it was hard - probably because they can't drive a manual car in general. It is a steep hill but I had no issues with the tiny car I rented, if you know how to drive a stick shift properly you will be fine :) I will definitely come back here, the Tasca restaurant a couple of minutes' driving from the place is incredible!

Perefect accommodation for us and Very beautiful surroundings; we have enjoyed it. Teofila was very proactively offered a late checkout to give us more time enjoying the place because we missed our first night due to a flight cancelation therefore missed the ferry to Pico. I definitely recommend this place.

Great place to stay, and facilities were great! Was so nice to have a pool and jacuzzi and the location was great for going to all parts of the island.

We stayed at the house for 3 nights whilst visiting Pico island. Fantastic Airbnb, the best accommodation by miles during our stay at the Azores (we stayed in a hotel on one island). Aldeia had great communication throughout and recommended activities and restaurants to visit during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful spot, authentic house and surroundings, special welcome. We love vibe of the house, space outside, many places to sit around garden and drink coffe or wine, easy grilling space, beautiful views. I think pictures doesn’t do a full justice for these wonderful place.

Mario and Carla were really kind and sweet, left us local things to try and made us feel at home from the really first moment. The house was clean and really nice to be in. We really suggest this peaceful location for a stay in Pico.

Exceeding our expectations, superbly equipped and thoughtfully designed, fascinating house. It's like being in a whale belly! Beautiful and functional details. Spacious spaces and thoughtful storage. Amazing orchard. Cozy and stylish at the same time. The best and most memorable AirBnB we've ever been to (and have been to many). Thank you so much for the hospitality you experienced, even though the host was at the end of thousands of nautical miles. We hope to return for a beautiful day.

Characteristic house in a very quiet area of the island, surrounded by greenery and facing the ocean. We were greeted by an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The house is the perfect retreat for those looking for close contact with nature. The view is very nice and the walks in the surroundings were very nice. The host was always responsive in responding to our calls to understand how to get to the house. The little gifts when we arrived were a much appreciated extra touch. Thank you so much for a great stay.

The view was absolutely amazing: full ocean view and seeing Pico Mountain. Also the bungalow was very cozy and nice. Communication with our host was very quick and helpful! We definitely recommend staying here!

We had a great stay here. The view from terrace is amazing and also the house itself is very cute, clean and equipped with everything you need.

The views from our Lava home were absolutely incredible! The free breakfast was good ,loved the Portuguese pastries and cake .All the staff that we encountered were pleasant and helpful . We ate at Magma several times and the food was very good . The only thing we didn’t like was the mattress,just a bit firm for us .

We were very impressed with our stay at the Atlantic Heritage Luxury Villa. Coming from Canada, we appreciated the level of communication from Carolina (booking manager) prior to our arrival. She was able to accommodate our many requests from airport transportation, to food and drinks, including getting us a bottle of 2013 Czar wine (not an easy thing to do). The home was stunning and had everything we needed for our family of 6. Everyone had a private room and washroom. We loved the large dining room table to enjoy all our meals together. The grounds are private, safe and so peaceful. We absolutely loved the view of Faial and the infinity pool. What made the whole stay special for us was our on-site host Catia. She prepared an amazing breakfast every day, was available for anything we needed, and made many great recommendations. Catia was so kind to our family and she is the reason our stay was extra special. We would highly recommend staying here, and we hope to be back one day!

We loved our stay at the Lava Homes! It was much too short but will definitely be back. Ana, who checked us in was awesome and very helpful. The house was pristine and you can't beat the view. I will recommend the Lava Homes to all of my friends. The Magma restaurant was outstanding as well.

Our holiday with grandma and grandpa was a great experience on the island of Pico and in James's wonderful house. The house with a pool was our favorite in the selection so there is something for everyone. Views, swimming spot, pool, cozy retreats in the house and in front. It's all there that you want. Only the weather cannot be influenced and therefore we have an invoice open with the Montana de Pico. That's why we'll be back and if possible, safe with James.

This is an incredible property. Every detail has been thought of. The views are insane and the house is decorated impeccably. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food at Magma, their onsight restaurant, was the best we had in Pico. The pool and yoga studio, just breath taking. We loved our entire stay here and will return. Like others have said, the driveway is steep. Grab an automatic or be proficient with your manual car. We had a 7 person manual van and managed fine but we are comfortable with manual drive. Highly recommend!!! We didn't want to leave.

Beautiful property and views of Pico and Faial. We had a great time while staying here.

Even before we arrived, we had the feeling that we were warmly welcomed. We received all the necessary information in advance. The house is on a quiet street. The view, the pool and the evening atmosphere are indescribable! At around 10 p.m. the Cory's Shearwaters come back from hunting and hold their "concert" for about 30 minutes. A unique experience that is rare outside of the Azores. The house is very well equipped, you can cook really well and there are also great restaurants not far away. It was super clean. We were given a very warm welcome and everything was explained and shown to us thoroughly. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house!

This little apartment was a cute clean place to stay. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of fans as sometimes the islands get warm. The kitchen was fully stocked. We felt right at home. I stayed with my husband and son and my mom and dad also stayed in another room. My dad is hard to please and he said these people have a nice thing going on here. I recommend this place to everyone.
