Monthly Rentals in San Rafael de Guatuso

This is a perfect little casita in the cutest of towns. It was quick and easy to walk into town and find groceries, watch local sports and even catch an annual fiesta! The house has everything you can possibly need and sits on a hill overlooking the area. Neal and Diane (along with sweet little Fanny and Albert) are amazing hosts. So kind and helpful with whatever you will need. Absolutely loved this space and would recommend to anyone!

Great Hut to stay in a rustic setting near the lake. 45 from la Fortuna and 15 from new Arenal. Jose was very communicative and helpful. Good place to reflect relax

Sandra's home and our entire stay was absolutely MAGICAL!! We've traveled a lot and our experience here at Venado Valley Ranch was second to none. The location is absolutely incredible... breathtaking views, sounds, smells, stars, and on and on. We explored, we rode horses, we milked cows, we pressed sugar cane, we hiked to the private waterfall, we played games, and we ate incredible food prepared at the ranch. Sandra, Ronald and Demaris were SO wonderful - Sandra is such a welcoming host and we are so grateful she welcomed us in to her piece of paradise. When I was looking for places to stay, the reviews of this property really Wow'd me, and now I understand them!! We traveled with our 7 year old and 10 year old boys and despite coming from Tamarindo where we surfed for days and had the best time, the boys agreed Venado Valley Ranch was absolutely the highlight of the trip and their favorite part! We cannot wait to return again someday, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Stayed at the lodge for a couple of nights. The place was wonderful and I would recommend! Looked just like the pictures. There are bugs around the property, obviously like other reviews stated, but they weren’t inside the rooms. The staff is wonderful and super helpful with whatever you need. We booked a chef last minute through the Airbnb for breakfast and really enjoyed that. We also booked a driver through the Airbnb - I wouldn’t recommend that. It’s a flat daily fee but the driver kept trying to charge us extra. They also kept severely overestimating the time it would take to get to places and severity of the roads and made us change plans even though we ended up getting to locations easily and early/on time. Mahar was great at helping us sort out issues with them though! If all of your itinerary is outside of the lodge, I’d maybe stay closer to that as the house is a bit out of the way. We chose it bc it was in the middle of Fortuna and Monteverde and worked well for us.
