Holiday rentals with a kayak in Saco River

This house was awesome, very comfortable, host was very receptive &quick to answer inquiries. I would recommend this home if you are looking for a secluded relaxing place to stay or to hike through woods. However, getting there was a bit scary in the dark, there’s no street lights, the area is all woods &very dark, the roads very twisty & winding. The driveway to the house is about 1/2 mile long in a very dark wooded area, deer jumped out at us, & the road is all rocks and pebbles definitely better to have an SUV type vehicle. There are no stores around or pharmacy and not much to do in the area. Had to travel 20-40 minutes to get to stores. We did see 2 restaurants up the main road. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet comfortable place to just relax, and hang out this house is amazing. Very roomy, comfortable, extremely clean, fully equipped with all amenities. Beds extremely comfortable, clean, & many areas inside and out to just relax. We enjoyed this home.

My wife and I spent our first year anniversary in this wonderful home. We had a great time enjoying the fall colors and over looking the beautiful pond, especially in the morning as the fog broke. Within 15 minutes there were several grocery shopping options, restaurants, and breweries. Perfect balance of being in a quiet setting but having amenities nearby. Would recommend and hope to go back next autumn!

We had a wonderful stay in the woods. The house was beautiful and comfortable and Miriam was very helpful and responsive. The hot tub was a highlight! Highly recommend this wonderful home.

We recently stayed for a ski weekend and had an incredible time. The home has a great layout for groups, was close to a ton of winter activities, and was a fantastic place to unwind. We would love to book a stay in the summer next!

We had a lovely time at this place, it’s a bit small but we’ll appointed and you can’t beat the location, right on the river! The views out the back were incredible every day. This didn’t impact us but be aware the upstairs loft area is probably better for children and a tall adult would feel pretty cramped up there. As a rather short crew my family had no problems 😂. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the space. Was cozy clean and Steven was very responsive. He supplied us with extra small kitchen appliances when asked and was always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay welcoming. We made smores out by the fire. Played endless games of air hockey and made trays of Christmas cookies! Thank you Steven and family for a wonderful Christmas celebration in Laconia NH! The Halls!

Another wonderfully relaxing stay! We really enjoyed the new screened in porch for morning coffee, late afternoon snacks, and evening games. The rainy days were just as lovely as the beautiful ones. We enjoyed the cozy gas stove on the cooler days, and we just couldn't have been more delighted by the welcome note and gift upon our arrival.

Absolutely a wonderful place to stay! It was quiet and peaceful. Check-in was very easy and Alana was very welcoming. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow for checking in and checking out. Would absolutely stay again!

Such a cute cottage on a lake!! I went in mid October and the scenery was beautiful! The home is so cozy and perfect for anyone wanting a restful, quiet getaway.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. This place is a gem. We were the last to book for the year and Tim and Megan made sure that everything was perfect for when we got there. Upon arriving we immediately took the canoe on the lake and caught the last bits of sun. Although it rained for a good portion of our short trip there’s still something magical about having a cup of coffee on the back porch as the rain drops hit the water. 100 percent would come back. Thank you both for sharing this piece of paradise!

Perfect fall cottage so close to Portland! The cottage is so peaceful and quiet. But so close to Portland but you wouldn’t even know it. The farm is lovely and we took a walk down to the river on the property, it was so peaceful and so much land! If you are looking for a get away from a city, but want to be able to explore Portland and Kennybunks, this was the perfect spot. I don’t know if I’ve slept that good all year. Would definitely come back again. And we love Trooper the dog!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Was perfect for a large group of adult friends for a ski weekend at Sunday River. 15 minutes from the minute, across from a beautiful lake, it was the perfect Maine cabin experience. We loved the second kitchen and foosball table, and the hot tub really made it! Clean and easy to access. Would definitely go back

My family and I had a wonderful stay. We booked over Christmas. Jacki reached out to me just after I booked to see if my family celebrated Christmas and if so, would we like some decorations put up. I replied yes. When we arrived there was a decorated tree and some other decorations throughout. It was really nice. It is wonderful that they are dog friendly, they even have dog dishes there. Our Great Dane was with us. My whole family agreed that if the opportunity presents itself, we would definitely go back.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of room for six adults and the attention given to the detail of the decor was exquisite. We were able to ice skate on the lake and enjoy the outdoor firepit. The hosts were so easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed staying here. It was exactly what I was looking for. It is perfect for a weekend getaway. The view of the lake is fantastic and the cabin has a rustic feel that makes it easy to relax. Very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended!

This was the pefect place to unplug and find peace. Absolutely beautiful in the winter. I was trying to bottle up all that I was feeling so I could bring it home with me. Definitely a place to return to in the future.

Zak's cabin was awesome. The lake view was beautiful! Added bonus, we saw a bald eagle. Very clean and had everything you needed. Towels, soap and shampoo, condiments in the fridge, coffee, spices and oil and left us a lovely bottle of wine. Also great location, close to great restaurants, hiking trails and ski resorts. Highly recommend visiting.

Really one of my favorite places to stay. The home is cozy, has everything you could need, and right on the pond and a short drive to Sunapee mountain. Highly recommend it.
