Cabin holiday rentals in Muskegon River

It was a perfect setting for our Christmas gathering!! We put our gifts around the tree! Enjoyed the cozy fire!! It was decorated for Christmas & also had all the style that you would expect from a cabin in the woods. It blew us away!! Plenty of everything we needed!

This was a rare find! Clean and secluded with everything you could want for a good time! The shower was awesome! There were robes, complete laundry set up with a few pods available even. Pillows were comfy. Bedding was nice. Plenty of small details available that aren't always available at a lot of airbnbs. Host was very responsive. Area was super safe. Grocery store nearby but no major chain restaurants close so if you're wanting something like that get it on your way in. The grocery store had everything including a large selection of alcohol. Book it!

We loved our stay at the Hersey Hideaway! It was super peaceful! The area was beautiful, winter was in full force. We got snow and wind that helped us get cozy in this great getaway! Perfect spot for our much needed honeymoon. Looking forward to booking it again!

The cottage was fitting for our two families. There was ample sleeping arrangements for everyone. We had fun with the games provided.

This place was amazing! I appreciate all the care that went into decorating the home, it was beautiful and unique. There were toys for the kids, books for the adults! Wildlife to watch from the big windows was also an added treat. We were able to drive about 10 min away to use the pool as well which the kids loved.

Our stay at Frank's place could not have been more comfortable or relaxing. The inside was super clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for the week. We liked the spacious, open living/dining/kitchen area, nice furniture, and comfortable beds. But we especially enjoyed the large front deck, huge umbrella that kept us shaded, pocket views of the lake, grill/griddle combo, outdoor shower, and having the pickleball courts a short walk away. Frank is a super friendly and very responsive host. He genuinely wanted to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, which we did! We look for to renting from him again next year for 2 weeks! Thanks for everything, Frank!

What a beautiful cabin! My husband and I were looking to get away for a few days and enjoy a cozy, private place! This home checked all of our boxes! Very nicely kept, home was orderly, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect as it snowed the day after our arrival and was peaceful and serene! We were able to start a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed relaxing on the comfy sofas! Huge soaker tub in upstairs bathroom and plenty of bedrooms and a fun basement area! The perfect setup! We will have to bring some friends back with us next time- tons of room for several guests to enjoy! We dined at several local restaurants (within a 10 minute drive) that were delicious and spent some time on Water St for shopping, food, and brews! A must-stay place!

We had hoped for a snowshoeing New Year getaway. The snow didn't show, but that was OK because we had a great time in this adorable cabin anyway! It looks *exactly* like the photos - incredibly clean and every detail thought of to make yourself at home. We loved warming up in the sauna and hot tub and would like to visit again in the warmer months to enjoy some kayaking in the lake and time on the amazing porch!

This was a mother-daughter-dog trip! We came right after Christmas, and the cabin was tastefully decorated for the holidays! The cabin is beautifully upgraded…perfectly comfortable for long days inside reading. There were many thoughtful touches—well equipped kitchen, a fully stocked bathroom, plenty of blankets, sheets and towels. The hosts are awesome! They are fun to communicate with and are quick to respond to any comments or questions! This is a great location for people with dogs! Our dog had a great time running around off leash. Would only recommend letting your dog roam free past the property if you have solid recall. There were lots of deer, squirrels, cats. A neighbor warned us that there would be beaver traps out in about a month near the ponds in the area. If there was a “complaint” it would be: a more usable bunkhouse during the winter months (we didn’t use it at all because of the lack of significant heat). We highly recommend this location, this cabin and the hosts

We had a great stay! Lauren provided great instructions for us. We arrived after dark and the house was well lit and warm, which was so appreciated after a cold day. The place is small, cozy, well maintained, and has all the essentials! It snowed a bunch that night and the path was plowed and salted before we woke up! Lauren definitely goes above and beyond for her guests

The Lofty Cabin provided a lovely weekend for my husband and I and our dog. The location is private and beautiful. The cabin is comfortable and had everything we needed. It's close to town but still tucked away privately the woods which is how we like it. We frequent the Newaygo area and will definitely be back. We would recommend this cabin to anyone. thank you Christopher for a great weekend getaway!

This was a wonderful stay! Neil was quick to warn about local construction and very kind and understanding of any changes and adjustments we needed to make!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was extremely clean, and super cute. The property is charming! Having no Internet was tough with 3 kids! But it forced us to be in the moment and actually talk to one another. On our first night there as we were unpacking the car, a porcupine walked into the yard. The kids were so excited to see one in person. They are still talking about it. I would absolutely stay here again.

Just perfect. At the last minute, I was looking for a place to stay solo in a cabin in the woods (with my dog) in mid Michigan with easy access to walking trails. This is exactly what I found. The cabin was warm and cozy and quiet and well stocked for me to make meals. I could read and write in solitude, head out for a walk when needed. Krista was a great and attentive host, careful to send easy instructions for arriving in the dark. The trails were sweet, easy to make 2.5-3 mile loops. The labyrinth and other spiritual features were unexpected specialness. I later learned a friend stayed in the same cabin last year before meeting up with our family the next day in northern MI. Special spot, I hope you find it too.

So glad that we opted for a weekend getaway! We were seeking snow for snowmobiling, but the weather‘s been very unpredictable. We completely enjoyed just staying in by the fireplace and unwinding! Very secluded! Had the weather not been so icy we would have ventured out on the trails! Definitely want to come back in the summer! Jillian was an excellent host!

Hosts were great with communication, pre-trip to throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again. We had a great stay! Nice cabin in a woodsy setting - you feel like you’re getting away from it all but are still within a short drive of gas and food (great pizza from Pompeii’s in Baldwin ~20 mins away). We watched so many Perseid shooting stars from the deck. Cabin was a good size for us (2 adults, teen, 45lb dog*). We brought groceries along for breakfast and most of our meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There’s an espresso machine(?) that can also make a pot of regular drip coffee. Window a/c units on Low easily kept the place cool in August. We went to the neighborhood beach every day and walked/swam in nice clear water with little fish. Fenced-in neighborhood playground across the street. * Dogs are not allowed at the local lake beach. We found dog-friendly beaches in Lake Michigan state parks ($) and a great dog beach in a North Muskegon park (free).

Our stay was perfect! It was exactly as described. The house was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and extremely clean. The setting was beautiful, nice green grass, large fire pit area (wood included) and overall property in great condition. It was the perfect place for our girl’s weekend! The hosts were responded in a timely manner and were extremely helpful. Overall great experience!

Quaint comfortable place surrounded by woods. Second time we’ve been there. Will definitely be back.

This may have become our new favorite place! The cabin was absolutely perfect, well stocked with everything you need to make your stay easy and relaxing! It’s nice if you have any questions you know the owners will be through a couple times a day and they are always willing to stop and answer your questions! Emily responded right away when i had a question . The house was absolutely beautiful. Emily did an exquisite job in decorating the home. We had everything we needed & more!!! It was so peaceful their. The Grandsons loved that they could walk to the river and fish. I have already recommended this house to a friend of ours. I will definitely rent this place again!
