Fantastic venue. My partner and I booked this quiet getaway to celebrate new years. It had the peace and quiet we were after. The host was also very accommodating answering any questions we had. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a great and reaponsive host. 5/5 stars.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mr. Brett’s Airbnb! The place was absolutely stunning – peaceful, idyllic, and full of character. Every corner of the home felt special and unique, making it a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Mr. Brett himself was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, while also giving us the privacy to truly unwind and enjoy the space. His warm hospitality really made the experience that much more special. We are already planning our next visit and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a host who truly cares!

We had a great experience staying at this cozy cabin. The gravel road leading up to it was a bit rough, but manageable. The peaceful isolation and forest surroundings were exactly what we were looking for, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. One of the highlights was seeing alpacas in the morning, which was a fun and unique experience. The fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere, and while the cabin isn’t luxurious, it has all the essentials you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. We did notice the water in the spa was a little cloudy and came across a few spiders in the cabin, but nothing too unexpected for a place in the woods. A nice touch was the collection of board games, which we really enjoyed playing. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and a great spot for those looking to unplug and unwind.

Loved the stay in this little paradise. Highly recommended to anyone who is after a stay different than the usual.

Thanks for having us! We had such a wonderful time! The place is well-furnished, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. Our toddler had an amazing time exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, picking fresh strawberries and veg, and enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast. It was such a lovely getaway and farm experience for our family including our dog. :) We would highly recommend!

Beautiful place to stay. The cottage was perfect for our group and had everything we needed. The local area had so much going on and Julie’s recommendations of things to do I. The area were stunning and kept us busy. Highly recommend - and would stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Windmill Barn. From the outset Lauretta was an amazing host with great communication and attention to detail which is in full display within the property. Windmill barn is beautifully presented and exceedingly well equipped throughout. It is easy to lose time exploring the barn with so much history on display. The views out past the windmill are borderline ethereal once you've explored inside. If you find yourself looking to endulge another sense grabbing a coffee and heading out back brings auditory charm by way of birdsongs overwhelmingly dominated by Currawongs with the occasional interlude provide by a distant Whipbird. The sense of pure, immersive isolation in nature with the convenience of being 15 minutes away from modern commercial society and central to so many attractions in the area puts The Windmill Barn right at the top of our repeat visit list.

Tricia is such a wonderful host - very accommodating and she could actually anticipate what her guests need. And her place is simply the perfect getaway home! It has everything we needed and some more. We have 2 families with young children and some additional adults so the bedrooms’ setup was very suitable. The renovated bathrooms and laundry/toilet were really beautiful as well and the place is so clean and well maintained. It’s definitely where we’ll be staying when visiting Gumbaya (and the surrounding places) in the future. Thank you so much Tricia!!

Loved our stay at Sarah's cottage, was great for our long weekend in Healesville. The vibe reminded me of my parents' grannyflat and it had everything we needed. The location right next to Healesville Sanctuary and the local Blueberry Winery was also just great. Our hosts were friendly and forthcoming with local tips too.

Lovely place to stay, great location on the hill near Healsville, great views but easy stroll into town for a coffee!

The cottage is really lovely - clean, plenty of space, well equipped and close to walking/riding tracks. There was plenty of room for my two dogs as well. Shaun communicated promptly and was always friendly. Highly recommend. We loved our stay.

We had a great few days at Paul and Judith’s cottage. The house was great, super clean and had everything you needed. We didn’t bring our pup but it was fabulously dog-friendly. It was a short drive to town and the other attractions in the area. The outdoor deck area was absolutely lovely. We would definitely recommend and would come back again.

I loved stating in this beautiful cottage at Tara Rise surrounded by he serene gardens resembling a Botanical garden with so many fruit trees and varieties of plants. If you're lucky, as I was to enjoy the delicious grapefruit and oranges from he garden. The cottage had everything I needed including a wonderful fireplace. My stay was very relaxing and rejuvenating, thank you Siobhan

We enjoyed our stay as it was peaceful. Ended up reading a supplied book, which is a pastime that hardly do these days. The pool was great with the hot weather. Our dog was at home and relaxed in the space and gardens

I stayed for 5 days with my two kids aged 5 and 4. Can’t recommend this place strongly enough. Between the surrounding beauty of the area and the tranquility of the house, we had an amazing week. Kids loved all the play equipment outside and there was loads of space for them to ride their bikes also. Would love to come back in winter to light the fire and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere again.

This gorgeous little house is full of charm! We came here for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. There are gorgeous views of the bush from every window and the place is styled to perfection. The breakfast basket provided had everything we needed and was fresh. Pia was responsive and courteous in every message. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Sonya's place is just as described. It's surrounded by amazing country. Sonya is that host you hope to always get on air bnb, friendly & very responsive. Stayed 4 night as a family of 4 & it was perfect. Highly recommend for a short getaway for a couple or small family. would love to return with just my husband & no kids as it would be even more perfect 👌 thank you Sonya for a lovely stay

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Pickett's Cottage, it was exactly what we needed when celebrating Christmas and New Year's as a family. Beautiful heritage house, very walkable neighbourhood. Greg was very helpful and able to accommodate our toddler's needs as well. Highly recommend!
