Kalliopi's little house was beautiful. The view from the rooftop was special. there were some items missing and a few broken features (shower head and umbrella) however, our host did her best to sort these out for us and we believe they will be fixed shortly. we had some health challenges during our stay and Kalliopi was very supportive and kind during a difficult time. Her communication was top notch. We thank her.

Pauline and Manolo's house is a typical Kythira house, renovated with its characteristics and original materials. The rooms overlook the outdoor courtyard, full of flowering, shady, and colorful plants. On the roof a beautiful terrace with chairs and pillows suitable for spending the night looking at the stars. The room is cool and does not need air conditioning. The kitchen, separated from the room but for exclusive use, is equipped with everything. Pauline and Manolo are two exceptional hosts, friendly, available to meet every request, caring. They gave us great tips on beaches, streets, tavernas, things to see absolutely. They told us the history and anecdotes of the island, and we also fell in love with it like them who decided to move. They treated us as friends rather than guests and talking to them was really nice. In short, if you go to Kythira, go to Kiperi House.

Jean Marie's home was very unique, and just perfect for two couples. We each had our own bedroom and bath, and the kitchen and living room were separate and just across the courtyard. The rooftop was a bonus getaway, and afforded a beautiful view of the hills and river gorge. At night, the skies were dark and the constellations shining! We were treated by the hooting of the European Scops Owl, and in the morning the singing of the swallows. The fantastic Platanos restaurant is just a block away, as are the craft shops and the herb shop. Great hiking to be had all around the village, as well as a short drive from the airport and to all the wonderful villages and beaches of Kythira. We wish we could have stayed longer!
