The highlight was definitely the beach, just a two-minute walk away. It felt like stepping into a local postcard, with colorful fishing boats and children happily swimming. The local people were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The house itself was equipped with a much-appreciated water filter, air conditioning, and ceiling fans to combat the heat. The host was incredibly responsive and quick to address any questions I had. While he made unexpected visits his friendly and engaging personality meant it wasn’t a major issue. The daily call to prayer from the local mosques was a constant, gentle reminder of the community's values, adding to the unique atmosphere of the village. If you're looking for a genuine taste of local life, far from the usual tourist track, this is a good choice.
