Cozy jungle 2-bedroom cabin

AlRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The room as well as the entire property were impeccably maintained. Everything was clean, and I liked that the cabin was solar powered. If you are looking for a hotel or apartment vibe, then this is probably not the right fit for you, but if you are looking for a nice clean place to stay in a nature environment, with amenities like a pool and spa, then this is the perfect spot! Cristophe greeted us at the gate, showed us to the cabin and around the common areas of the property. He also showed us how everything worked in our cabin. Very great host!

Studio Ohana Cabin Retreat

MartinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Unique property you feel comfortable but in the jungle at the same time. The Jeep 4WD is a must for the road, but it will be useful around the island to go beyond the normal tourist places. Forget holiday resorts and cities, this is real escape holiday destination. Great place, great value thanks for letting us stay in your place. :-)

Very cool cabin! The location was great right in the rain forest. The wood burning stove was awesome in the mornings, and the back deck was the best to hang out!!

Butterfly Cabin

NicoleRating, 5 stars96 months ago
This place is pure magic. It feels like living in a rustic but comfortable treehouse in the jungle. We did yoga on the deck every morning and watched the sunrise over the jungle with the ocean in the distance. So peaceful. The sounds of the coqui frogs, birds, and various wildlife were simply enchanting. I really felt connected to nature here and was able to slow down. I also loved the outdoor shower and toilet. One note would be that the kitchen is often busy with the volunteers who live on the farm so while it is easy to store your food in the fridge, I felt that if I cooked a full meal, I might be a bit in the way. Everyone was good-vibed and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Hope to return.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin. We loved the connection with nature… hearing the “chirping” of the frogs at night, being surrounded by jungle. The cabin itself is very self sufficient and yet gives you the comfort and coziness you need! We absolutely loved the experience!!!

Private Spa Oasis with 2 Cabins

BrieanaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, "almost" off grid with the comfort of electricity and drinkable/hot running water this place is IT. Perfect for a pair of couples, a couple with a "third wheel", or parents with older kids these side-by-side cabins were an excellent way for us to stay together, but with our own separate spaces. The hot tub is large and comfy and with the outdoor covered area and t.v. made for some very relaxing evenings. The hosts went above and beyond with some great little welcoming touches - we arrived to all of the fans on, hot tub partially uncovered, a bottle of wine on the outdoor counter, and all of the t.v.s playing some relaxing hawaiin music. If you haven't been fortunate enough to meet a coqui frogs face to face yet you will definitely make friends with them here! A couple of them have a favorite spot under the lights of the outdoor shower. Be prepared for some wet and cool weather on this side of the island

Ben and Katherine were friendly and have a beautiful quiet spot tucked beneath a banyan tree. Enjoy the seclusion and nicely arranged space just a short drive to Volcano National Park. The lighting, large windows, and outoor shower were highlights during our stay.

Secluded Bamboo Cabin on Sacred Healing Land

BobRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Great experience and very friendly host and neighbors. This bamboo hut is welcome to everyone who wants a retreat or living far away from the network. There is even a sanctuary room for meditation. However, when i lived there, there was a hurricane. So it's kind of scary to hear the strong wind blowing the jungle and trees/leaves hitting the rooftop.

Historic Home Close to Volcanoes National Park!

AdamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Being jet lagged, we woke up while it was still dark, and looking to the East thought oh, the sky is pink, let's go for a sunrise walk in the National Park. As we approached the park, we were like... the glow in the sky is to the north now -- the sun doesn't rise there, does it? Turns out it was Kilauea erupting in the early morning! We stood and held hands like the only two people on earth watching this incredible demonstration by Mother Nature. The house was clean, rustic in a comfortable way. We managed to make a nice fire in the stove. I really enjoyed this round ceramic bread pan, and hand-baked a couple of loaves of good bread. Plenty of blankets, comfortable beds. It was a lovely relaxing & beautiful time.

Rainforest Tea House w Pool /Rental Car Options

LyndseyRating, 5 stars32 months ago
The house was exactly what I was looking for and more — private, safe, surrounded by nature, within 15 minutes of a beautiful beach and pet-friendly. I was also happily surprised by the number of stores 10 minutes away in Pahoa’s town center including a Whole Foods like store called Malama Market, a CVS affiliate called Longs Pharmacy, great Thai food at Ning’s Thai and delicious breakfast at the Tin Shack Bakery. The weather was also better than I expected — I’d (correctly) anticipated daily tropical rain showers, but the late mornings through afternoons were almost always sunny during my June stay. And I was also pleasantly surprised that Instacart delivery people were able to successfully deliver goods from Hilo, 30-40 mins away. The house itself is beautifully decorated. I personally loved the crystals around the bed and flickering decorative lights. Those relaxing touches along with the sounds of nature — birds, frogs, insects and intermittent tropical rain — helped set the stage for some very restful sleep. I didn’t do any cooking beyond warming things up during my time there, but the refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove worked perfectly, and the shower water was nice and warm. Also, the car I rented from Kristen was perfect for my needs. You definitely need a car when staying here and one that can handle unpaved terrain. I loved my stay, and as long as you’re ok with lizards, insects, tropical rain, spotty cellular service supplemented by GREAT wifi, friendly kittens and a dog roaming the property, you’ll likely love it too.

Horses and Waterfalls

SaraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a beautiful place! Totally worth the drive--you are rewarded with peaceful surroundings and a stunning view of the surrounding greenery and the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, drinking coffee on the lanai, and watching the new lambs frolic in the adjoining pasture. Keith and Ashley provided clear instructions for getting to their place, along with many local recommendations and references. Overall, an enjoyable experience, and an excellent place to get away from it all.

RomanticTropical Cottage-OceanView

MashaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We LOVED our stay at Harry's place! One of my favorite Airbnb's ever. The property was stunning, and exceeded our expectations. The ocean views, outdoor shower, and all the amenities were everything we wanted for our Hawaii trip. It was really convenient to have coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. available. Expect to drive a bit for restaurants and shops, but it's worth it to be in a less touristy part of Kona. We hope to be back again :)!

Off-Grid Rainforest Retreat

LlynneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Misty and Tom are wonderful hosts. Their place is super clean and the common kitchen is cozy and really nice. They let us use common condiments, like butter, mayo and mustard so we didn't need to buy any for our 5 day stay. They also made room in their fridge for our foods and had ice for coolers, so this was very convenient. They are Super Hosts in every way and very accommodating and friendly and fun to chat with. It's been a rough time for our family and this was the perfect getaway for us, Warm Aloha to you both, Misty and Tom!

Lovely cabin minutes from Volcanoes National Park.

LisaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Kris and Robins cabin in the rainforest was perfect for a visit to Volcano and National Park. Wonderful artistic touches throughout, well stocked kitchen and a very generous amount of fruit, coffee, english muffins and jam. We loved the gardens surrounding the cabin and appreciated the close proximity to the Natl Park. Beds were super comfy with nice cozy heating pads! Look forward to staying again.

"We loved this romantic getaway for two!"

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Koa Cabin is a comfy and cozy place to lay your head! It is located high in the mountains and a bit cooler so bring warm clothes as there is only a small electric heater for the whole place, no insulation and no glass in some of the windows (think glamping). Yet with that said, the cabin is well appointed with wonderful hosts! Heide made us fresh bread, jam, provided eggs (no eggs available on island in stores due to avian flu), fruit, coffee, butter and more. Heidie and Jeffrey are generous and thoughtful hosts!. If you’re looking for a traditional AirBNB home rental this is not it. If you’re looking for unique, rustic, beautiful grounds, with bird and frog song - this is the place for you. Thank you for a great stay!!

Artistic Cabin In the Forest

LoringRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cabin was surrounded by beautiful tropical trees and flowering shrubs. Hearing the crickets and frogs at night was very special. The bed was comfortable and the large lanai was well furnished and perfect for breakfast and relaxing. Bill and Anzu were very helpful, giving us lots of ideas of places to see, and things to do.

We had an amazing time at Christina’s! It was one of the most beautiful and interesting places we’ve stayed. We had everything we needed. The walk to the shore was quick and peaceful and the views from there were wonderful. The jungle surroundings were breathtaking. The home had everything we needed and more. The beds were like sleeping in clouds. We can’t wait to return someday!!
