Whitehawks Cottage is a beautifully crafted space surrounded by Otway forest. Situated 8km from Apollo Bay township on the Great Ocean Road. Overlooking the Otway National Park, this stylish comfort laden getaway is perfect for 2 people wanting to escape and relax amongst nature. There is plenty to do and see exploring the many attractions the Great Ocean Road has to offer.... Or don't go anywhere, cosy up by the wood fire, stargaze on the deck at night and breath in the fresh air.

The space
Whitehawks is a modern newly constructed one bedroom cottage. This beautifully laid out space offers open plan living, lounge and dining with wood burning fire place. Smart TV with streaming platforms. The large bedroom boasts a super comfy king size Sleeping Duck Mach II bed, there is a separate bathroom with shower and heated towel rails. All linen and towels are supplied. The galley kitchen has everything you'll need to cook up a storm, Induction stove top, Neff oven, Bosch dishwasher, Delonghi coffee machine. Extra fast satellite star link Wifi. Private deck with BBQ and outdoor bath, so you can soak up some nature while soaking yourself overlooking the Otway forest.
Please also note the water supply is tank water which is perfectly safe to drink (actually tastes better than town water!).
The hosts residence is situated on the hill behind the cottage. Far enough away from the cottage to ensure privacy. There is only need for interaction with guests if assistance is required with exploring the property or any problems should arise.
Mobile reception is very poor so turning wifi call on is recommended

The cottage is surrounded by stunning Otway forest with your own private walk down to the Elliot river. The walk down to the river is quite steep in some sections and will be slippery if there has been rain but well worth the effort. The lush ferny rainforest at the bottom is like another world so you wont mind huffing and puffing back up the hill for that well deserved drink!
There is 21 acres to explore with an abundance of bird and wildlife.

Other things to note
Guests are welcome to bring well behaved pets. There is fencing but not potentially escape proof. Please note in the warmer months the presence of snakes is something to be aware of.
