Monthly Rentals in Daulagala

This was the best decision we made on our two week exploration of Sri Lanka. Spotlessly clean, comfy, modern and spacious apartment with breathtaking views! Ideally located for trips all around the island. Location is a 12 min tuk tuk ride (easy to book via the pick me app) from the centre in a peaceful area of Kandy. Kandy is a great city but my advice is not to stay in the city centre due to the noise and pollution. Here you are close by in perfect peace and quiet with beautiful wildlife to spot from the balcony - we saw fire flies for the first time! The wifi is excellent (digital nomads you can easily work from here) Kanil showed us his soon to be launched second apartment (same location) boasting a four poster bed and large private roof terrace which would be excellent for yoga/ sun bathing if this property is not available (check his profile for his other listing). He was an impeccable host providing a 5* service and the very best of Sri Lankan hospitality. Truly wonderful

Rajeev and his wife Sharmini are great hosts. I loved this place, an absolute gem hidden on a small beautiful mountain with a breathtaking view. Mark, the caretaker is the soul of this place. He is a great cook, gives a healing massage and ensures that your stay is comfortable. I think our stay was further enhanced by Mark’s presence. The place itself is very well maintained. It gives the feeling of going back in time away from the grinding city life. You get to eat home cooked food, sit in excellent view of mountains and take short walk. The location is also idle. Within a short distance of Kandy. The other thing we enjoyed was the excellent availability of fruits. Our host Rajeev and his wife Sharmini ensured that we have lots of fruits, took time personally to know about our likes and dislikes and helped in preparing the menu for next 2 days An absolute must stay place if you are in Kandy.

Achala’s place was a delight to stay at. Away from the hustle bustle of Kandy. The room is spacious and boasts of a stunning view of the mountains. He and his father both made me very comfortable. They were very helpful when I asked for recommendations or when I needed to figure out how to get around. Cherry on the top: I got to task local vegetarian delicacies, which I loved! Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing stay!!! Such a great villa with a lovely view of the Kandy mountains. Amazing to be surrounded by plants and birds. Pool was so nice to have too and each room had a balcony to enjoy the view. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Justin, the caretaker and chef, and his wife, were both incredible! Not only did they cook us amazing Sri Lankan food each night but they were so lovely and helpful! He helped us organise a Tuk Tuk one morning to Kandy to have a run which was super useful! Recommend to anyone and would love to come visit again!
