One of the best Airbnbs of all times! The location is great and approachable. The views are a great mix of forest, valley, orchard and hills. The property is clean and well planned. The appliances are new and the furniture and beds are comfortable. The food was simple, home cooked and we also tried local Himachali food with oh so delicious desi ghee. Above all the host(s) are amazing. Right from the time of booking Sachin was jn touch with us and guided us properly. As soon as we arrived we felt at home in this beautiful an and practically designed abode. The entire family was lovely and ever so welcoming. Sachin and his wife Parul were the perfect companions and guides through local attractions. They took us for cherry and apricot picking, showed us around the village, took us for a picnic at the lake and also took us to a local fair which was so much fun. They were really responsive and accommodating. We got to see and be a part of HP culture too. We will definitely go back soon.

It was a wonderful experience staying at Devanshu bhaiya's apartment. He would definitely be a superhost soon. He was very welcoming, respected our privacy and it was very nice to have conversations with him over tea. It felt like I'm having conversation with a friend. We came early in the cold morning and he welcomed us with tea and provided us with a heater to warm ourselves. He gave us suggestions for local places to eat and sightseeing. It's a no brainer for me to book his place again whenever I visit Shimla again.

The place is really beautiful- so beautiful that the pictures don't do justice to the reality. Vinay ji is a great host, always helpful and available with suggestions. A walk through the hill forest - with it's apple, cherry and wild species was a treat for all of us. The anecdotes and stories of the history of the land, local knowledge about various plant species and it's uses - really liked that part. Food was also great and like home cooked food. Our family of 9 simply loved every bit of it. My 2 year old daughter is still clamouring to go back to Kotgarh and I am promising her that we will try to be back next year 😀
