A lovely property, home from home and the host was so informative and answered any questions I had. The location was perfect for our needs and very quiet. The welcome hamper was really nice and attention to detail in all areas was very evident with nice touch’s and fragrances made the home feel clean and comfortable. Pool table and games consoles make it a stand out location for all ages to enjoy when in the house. Heating was great though the house as we had some very cold days on our stay. Hot tub and gardens well presented too and not over looked. We collectively as a family have said we will return to this property next year in the warmer months for a longer stay. Anyone reading this post then rest assured you will have a lovely stay in this property that you can relax and enjoy your time. 5 star ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thankyou. Mr Anderson.

Quite superb cottage in spotless mint condition with a hot tub location to die for. Comfey bed, great linen and brilliant walk-in jet shower as well as huge free standing luxurious bath.

Fabulous stay with the Family for our weekend get together. Spacious kitchen / living area and HUGE master suite, however parts of the house are a little tired and need attention. The advert stated Gilchrist & Soames shampoo conditioner and body wash was provided but unfortunately none was to be found. The towels were small and thin with one medium sized one per person, could have done with a hand towel each as well and the high chair provided was not safe for our grand- daughter, due to broken straps. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and would recommend this property. The views over lake Windermere are beautiful, especially with the snow capped hills surrounding.

It was perfect paid for extra package number 2 balloons flowers petals ect was beautiful all set up nice for my partners birthday enjoyed the stay well worth the money so relaxing will be booking again

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

The cottage was cosy and clean with lots of things to keep us entertained- especially the darts board and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and modern and the local host was very helpful and responsive when we needed help as well. Overall I would 100% recommend and well worth the stay :)

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

Just arrived home after 4 relaxing and peaceful nights. The house is situated on a farm but you wouldn’t know. Diccon showed us in when we arrived and was very welcoming and give us some advice on the surrounding area. If you’re looking to walk Hadrian’s wall this is the place, the path goes right past the farm. We did a really big walk on our 1st full day and walked all the way to Banks a little village which has part of the wall in it, on the way back we stopped in at Lanercost priory and tearoom, well worth a visit. About 8miles round trip. We then did a couple of smaller walks on the other days. Then ended each day enjoying the hot tub and managed a couple of starry nights. This is a great addition. Brampton is a nice little town with a great butchers and foodhall. Would recommend and definitely visit again. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Fabulous little cottage in the garden, just what we wanted. Julie was a wonderful hostess, made us feel very welcome, basic necessaties all there on arrival even fresh flowers. Already recommended to friends and family.

An absolute find! The photos don’t do this place justice. We had a really lovely, comfortable stay, it was peaceful yet a 1 minute walk from the square. It’s truely dog friendly (lots of places state dog friendly yet have tons of rules once you book!) and yet you would never know, its spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. Sandra was really responsive and helpful. We will most definitely be back 😀.

A beautiful place to stay inside and out. The views were breathtaking! Our little dogs loved playing in the garden which was well fenced (even our mischievous Westie couldn’t find a way to escape!) The fire was such a nice touch, we loved having fires each day. Wood was supplied if you didn’t use the heating which was great! Coming from a city we don’t have a fire so happy to not use the heating! Kate was so responsive and really friendly. We even had some fresh eggs from her hens which was so lovely. We were thrilled to see the property in snow on our last night/day it really just rounded off our stay perfectly! If you are thinking about booking..do it! Also the shower is great! (Always something I judge! Haha) Can’t wait to rebook!❤️

The cottage is very well-equipped, with everything you need to rustle up a three course meal - plenty pots, pans, roasting tins, utensils and a huge six seater dining table. It’s really easy to organise supermarket deliveries but only a 10-12 minute drive (Carlisle) if you’d rather pick things up yourself. The location is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of great dog walks close at hand. If you’re feeling less energetic you can relax in the cosy lounge or sit upstairs in the seating area of the master bedroom with amazing panoramic views of the countryside (thanks to the floor to ceiling windows). Sharu was an absolutely lovely host - extremely responsive and ever so helpful, yet completely unobtrusive; allowing me the space to enjoy my stay. I would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again when visiting the area

Amazing overnight stay. Beautiful surroundings, the food In the pub was incredible. Especially the pies! Will be back again for sure. Hosts and everyone were so friendly, even being our 2 big dogs it was a great stay.

The cottage is lovely. Lounge area nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and spotless. As were the bedrooms. The street is full of character and very pretty with all the flower pots and benches and takes you straight to the town or to the river. Rothbury is lovely. Some lovely shops. Very friendly locals. Very conveniently placed for all destinations. The bakers butchers and delicatessen are all excellent. Big Coop if needed. We didn’t go into the pubs but they all looked lively and friendly. We loved it all.

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. Wonderful place in a perfect location of Keswick. A short walking distance to the shops and the lake. Certainly enjoyed taking the dog out for his walk with all the parks near by and a stroll to see beautiful views of Derwent water. The beds were comfy and the place was nice and cosy. A good variety of entertainment in games and books for the kids as well as ourselves. Having our own parking space was very convenient. We saw a lot of cars taking forever looking for one. I will definitely look at staying again when we next visit 😀

Me and my friends had a fantastic time in Windermere thanks to the location and space we had with Johns flat. We couldn't have asked for anything more to be honest, particularly considering the low price that was paid. Will definitely stay here again when we next come to visit!

Beautiful property in a great location with amazing views. The house was absolutely spotless and with living room upstairs, it enables the wonderful views, and the balcony is perfect for your morning coffee. Simon’s instructions were perfect to find the property easily, and he was so responsive when we needed to contact him (as we locked the keys inside the property), he sorted immediately. Would definitely stay again, thank you so much.

Great place to stay, has everything you need was clean & tidy, lovely sitting outside in the evenings with the fire pit, 5mins from Amberside town witch has everything you need, lovely walks round the area, would recommend highly.

A beautiful cottage tucked away in the heart of the Lake District. The home itself was extremely spacious and the hot tub was an added gem to a lovely, warming home! The added use of the local spa amenities was a wonderful touch that really topped off a very memorable stay. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting this area!

Second time staying at Ecclerigg and was perfect again. Great property, perfect for families in a wonderful location. highly recommended!!

We had a great few days in this little house, and were able to explore a number of different beautiful locations from this spot. Recommended for hikers and walkers, although you will need a car as the location is pretty remote.

We love this place so much we've booked again for next Christmas. The lodge itself is equipped with more things than you have at home, it is very well appointed and you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. It is clean and beds very comfortable. The setting is beyond beautiful and we had a robin who called everyday, and a pair of deer who happily came into the bottom of the garden two of the days we were there. The Christmas decor made it extra Christmassy and my little boy soon made himself at home. With only a short walk away to Skelwith Bridge and the lovely Chesters by the River or a ten minute drive to Ambleside this is a perfect location for any couple or family wishing to relax. The owners had left us a bottle of prosecco upon arrival and gave clear and specific instructions of how to find the the lodge. A perfect retreat for a well earned relax. I'm so glad we found this little peace of heaven. Thank you Andy and Maggie.

Beautiful lodge in wonderful location. Quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbours should you need them. The park is so well designed with great roads and amenities including a well regarded Health Spa and restaurant. The Lodge itself was attractive with every resource you could need. Warm and comfortable, I loved my stay, thank you.
