Can't recommend this place more. The house is a dream, you really can see the snowy mountain from the lounge window. Adrian is a great host, he sent us recommendations and checked in with us during the stay. We will definitely be back!

This was a fabulous stay. Did all it said on search. bedroom was roomy and bed comfy bathroom was small but everything placed to maximise space. shower easy to use and refreshing. kitchen had everything and more. only thing missing was a freezer and that I got from search. sofa in lounge comfy. tv . building heats up within 15 mins once thermostat in bedroom was put in play. as weather was nice , pulled 2 chairs out of outhouse and sat in patio area. neighbours were chatty. recommended

lovely flat in a perfect location. the flat has brilliant views is extremely clean and spacious. it was perfect for our needs. would not hesitate to recommend.

We came for a long weekend with our 9month old puppy and were made to feel very welcome! Upon arrival we recieved dog treats, lots of chocs and fizz upon with a welcoming note. We were unable to fit our dog crate in the car so on the off chance asked Rachel and Mike if they had one. By the time we arrived a crate was there waiting for us! This was above and beyond our expectations! The workshop was very cosy and homely with everything you could possibly need. Our dog Penny was quickly at home and especially enjoyed the heated floors! This is a beautiful little home, perfect for us 3. The local surroundings are beautiful; a pub around 4 mins away for tea, and an hours drive from Windermere where we took our pup on a hired boat! Rachel and Mike have two border collies who were very friendly and well behaved. We couldn’t recommend this getaway enough if you have a pup like us! We will be recommending it to everyone and will definitely be back in the summer to make the most of the lakes

Excellent stay in Bardon Mill at the Snug. Excellent amenities, very clean property, comfortable bed. Alison was very nice and kind and provided all the things you would need in a kitchen along with some complimentary breakfast items. Thank you.

Gary's apartment is a joy to behold. A sympathetically designed loft with feature beams adding a rustic vibe, the accommodation is perfect for couples looking for luxury on a budget. The property is bright and spacious, super clean, well decorated and tastefully styled. Very comfy bed and linen, plenty of high quality pristine white towels in the stunning bathroom. The photos tell it all. Access via a smart key pad means you don't have the worry of losing the key and enables a smooth check in. Located in the centre of Whitehaven, there are numerous cafes on hand for breakfast as there is no kitchen. We enjoyed Howling Woolf at the Beacon in the harbour and the full English in Dixon's department store is a steal. Gary was really kind and attentive, responding to messages in super quick time. Places like this are rare, book it!

Stayed over Christmas. House had been decorated for Christmas for us and felt really festive. Lovely and warm and clean and comfortable. Hope to be back. Best Air BNB we’ve stayed in Carlisle when visiting our daughter.

Beautiful property in a perfect location to explore the Lake District. Very private but so close to Ambleside - walkable to dining and ferry. The house is large with well equipped kitchen and very comfy living areas. We appreciated the wood fire. Three very comfy bedrooms, two with views of the lake. A very special stay in a beautiful part of the district.

We love staying at this house - it has everything you could ever need or want. The location is peaceful, the place is spotless, the hosts always leave treats for the children and pretty Christmas tree. We will continue to come in the future!

We had such a lovely stay, James was very helpful and responsive. The house felt like a home from home and had everything we needed and more. It was the cleanest Air BnB we've stayed in, with the most comfertable bed we've stayed in too! Neighbours were really helpful and friendly. The children loved waving to the horses. The parents loved having a filter coffee with a sea view, it was bliss. We can't wait to stay again, thanks so much!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Anna's, a really beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. The home is modern and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds which is good after a long day of walking! The home is adorned with some gorgeous photos of the lake district taken by the host herself and she is quite an accomplished landscape photographer. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and we would definitely love to return to the house again.

We really couldn't fault Fell View Retreat. Amazing location, extremely comfortable, everything we needed, and spotlessly clean. We came to the lakes for the walking/hiking and being able to hike up to Wansfell Pike from the doorstep was perfect. The short walk up to Stock Ghyll Force waterfall is also well worth the effort. It only took a couple of minutes walk into the town centre using the short but steepish path, which was ideal. There are some great retaurants and pubs all within a few minutes walk of each other. We cant wait to come back.

The apartment is as pictured and described. It is very comfortable, clean and well located. The host was very responsive, very helpful and proactive. The bedroom overlooking Derwentwater was picturesque and really beautiful to wake up to everyday. I would recommend!

Plenty of good information prior to day of travel regards directions, keycode, etc. The apartment was slightly larger than expected from the photos. Decent size for two occupants. The bed was firm and extremely comfortable. The bathroom is of a hood size with decent shower. Kitchen is well equipped, only stayed a couple of nights so didn’t use most of it - but handy nonetheless. Useful having parking places. Would be useful if the wooden dividers / markers could be painted white, as they are difficult to see at night when parking as requested. Very central location which is very good. Recommend the Jumble Room for meals nearby.

We had an excellent few days away at The Diary. Jenny ensured check in was very smooth with clear directions for parking & to the door. Once inside the property we had everything we needed for a long weekend of recharging & hiking. Comfy beds, a powerful shower & wicked underfloor heating made our stay very comfortable, with all amenities in the property or found by a short walk to the high street. The exposed beams & chunky wooden decor give the property great character, and allow it to feel cosy yet spacious. We loved our stay & would stay again!

Property is located in a great location, very thing you need is in a walking distance. Property was very clean and organised, with everything you need. With freezer weather conditions, Simone was really accommodating and left the heat on and allowed us to arrive early and stay late (due to other guests) I would definitely recommend booking if it’s available, very well priced for the property and location, bonus points for the parking spot!

Had a lovely stay with the locational and the Air B&B itself there is no faults to be said. We got recommended the local restaurant that was dog friendly and had a lovely dinner and a couple drink ( they even have a dog menu 10/10) Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again :) Lovely Home away from Home.
