Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in City of Carlisle

Comfortable apartment in quiet residential estate. Perfect for us visiting elderly relative on same estate. Could easily walk into village for pubs or dog walks in woods. Flooring made it easy to clean after dog walks. Well equipped kitchen. Good shower. Comfy beds. If visiting with more than 3 people, would benefit from additional chair in lounge.

Perfect place to start or finish the Hadrians wall path. Staff were great. So much room on offer in their apartments.

A perfect base for the start of our Hadrian’s Wall Cycle adventure. We did a Solway loop to Silloth, then Carlisle and back to Bowness on Solway (around 56miles)

Such a gorgeous stay at Jerrys place! We loved the location - easy access to lots of the Lake District. Decorated lovely and a home away from home feel. Staff on site were lovely, and Jerry was really helpful with any questions we had - responded quickly. Thanks for a lovely stay! We’ll be back!

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

The loft apartment at Bowness House Farm exceeded our expectations- in fact the whole courtyard complex did. The apartment was beautifully styled and thought through with an excellent kitchen area, spacious en-suite, very comfortable sitting area and bed. We loved the details and finish- in fact I wish we’d been staying for a week rather than one night. Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and helpful. She also cooked our delicious breakfast this morning. The restaurant is full of warmth and character and we loved the inspirational sayings from 20th century icons ( including Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Stephen Hawking), the sparkling lights and the general ambience. We also throughly enjoyed our evening meal there. This was such a beautiful place I’d cycle the 150 miles back just to stay again !

Fantastic apartment for a weekend stay. Extremely comfy bed and well stocked kitchenette. Rebecca was great with her communication and check in was quick and easy. The hotel facilities included in our stay were great, with a pool (free pool towels available), sauna, bar/restaurant and kids games room. Lovely grounds, quiet and peaceful. Easy access to Keswick. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing for a quiet, peaceful stay clowe to other towns and attractions.

great value for money. the rooms/ toilet was sturdy clean! other areas of the house were always accessible and I loved how the whole house was nicely maintained. David himself is very welcoming. I had a good chat with him over a cup of tea. I would definitely recommend his airbnbs because of the maintenance as well as David's welcoming personality

Lodge was lovely. Very clean and lots of space. Particularly liked the hidden walk in dressing room in the main bedroom. Hot tub was nice and hot (40). Nice sized TV in lounge which could be rotated to suit. Enjoyed the little welcome pack - didnt last long! If you want to walk into Hexham (we did), its about 2 miles down a straight road. Plenty of taxi firms around if you dont fancy driving. Hexham is a great little town, with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. Overall we were really impressed with this lodge, we felt it was good value for money and would definitely return in future.

The apartment is as pictured, comfortbale with beautiful views. It was the perfect spot for exploring the Lakes. There is also lots on offer at Whitbarrow Holiday Village making it a great place to stay.

We had a lovely time as an extended family of 6 at the Old Bank in St Bee’s. The house was lovely and comfortable and we had every amenity we needed. The house was spotlessly clean and the location and instructions were clear. There is two pubs that do good food, both have lovely garden next door and a shop a couple of minutes away. The beach is around 10 miles s walk away and there is lots to see do around the area. The train station is just a couple of minutes away with ample parking at the station. There was a small issue either lack of towels when we arrived this was sorted quickly by Mich without fuss. All in all we had a fantastic break, I’ve already recommended this accommodation to friends and family snd we will happily go back in the future.

A wonderful home in the heart of the village of Appleby. The house is charming and quirky and the decor gives a homely feel, the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need and there are lots of family games and toys to keep the children entertained. We stayed as four adults and 2 children, all stairs have safety stair gates fitted and the house is very child friendly. The hot tub was enjoyed by all! There is no private parking but always spaces outside the house (3 hour parking disc required) or at the swimming pool centre which is very close, so not a problem at all. Lovely walks and great kids play area just across the road. Coop and Spar nearby and many local pubs and tea rooms. Host was very friendly and responsive and dealt with any queries promptly and efficiently. Would 100% recommend to stay at this property and would absolutely return. We loved Appleby and have even been checking out the local properties for sale! A perfect few days away.

Honestly, everything everyone else said. Such a lovely home. Perfect for a multi generational holiday or a large group of friends. Owner friendly without being intrusive. Would recommend.

Excellent house for large family gatherings. Plenty of bedrooms / bathrooms / living rooms / large dining conservatory. Great to have a pool table in one of the lounges and a hot tub which we also used. Be prepared to drive there’s nothing walkable from the house. In a car though you can reach lots of lovely places / walks easily.
