Monthly Rentals in Chimurria Abajo (San Rafael)

Escape to this secluded jungle retreat, perfect for nature lovers and adventurers. With high ceilings, large sliding glass doors, and thoughtful lighting and furnishings, the home feels bright and inviting. Surrounded by wildlife, we even spotted three species of toucans during our stay. A decent truck is recommended, though 4x4 isn’t necessary on the easier route. The well-equipped kitchen makes meal prep easy, and there’s a hot tub, though we didn’t use it and can’t confirm its condition. The spacious master bedroom oddly has only a double bed—a queen would be a better fit. A highlight is the master bathroom, which opens to the sky for a unique touch. For a peaceful escape into nature, I highly recommend checking out this jungle oasis!

Couldn’t adequately describe the experience other than to encourage anyone who has the capacity to spend time in the home to do so! I would have stayed longer and made it more of a base camp had I done more homework! Lovely people, lovely place!

This was the perfect place to stay the night on our road trip from Liberia to Cahuita. The casita is cute and comfortable, and has everything you need. There are also awesome views of the lake a few minutes walk up the hill behind the house. Jose was the perfect host and he even gave us some really cool souvenirs! Like other reviews mentioned, there is a bit of traffic noise, but it was no problem at night.

The Cabañita de cedro is a wonderful apartment, equipped with everything you need and designed with lots of love. Lineth, Hilda and their family are very friendly and Hildas food was very delicious. The distance from the apartment to the touristic spots is a bit further and you need more time to get there because the streets are at some points in a bad condition. But you don't need to get bored because Hernán offers you other activities and you could also enjoy the silence and watch the birds around the apartment.
