Monthly Rentals in Cat Ba Archipelago

I happened upon this place after reading that there was a lot of construction happening in Cat Ba and I figured since this was more inland there would not be construction (there was no construction, it was super quiet!). But I am so glad I ended up choosing this spot. It is SO pretty and located right in the mountains about a 5 minute motorbike ride from Cat Ba national park and about a 5 minute walk from Hospital Cave. The rooms are clean and there are chairs outside to hangout and read and an open upstairs lounge area to hangout with a beautiful view. As for Gecko and his family, I cannot say enough good things. They were around all the time if we needed anything or had questions and Gecko each day asked what we were going to do that day and if we wanted suggestions of activities he had plenty. They had motorbikes for rent and coordinated tours and a bus back to Hanoi for us. Whenever we were hungry we could order something and the food was delicious also. I will 100% come back!

The place is just as described, beautiful homestay with incredible views of Lan Ha Bay. Linh and Ha were very helpful and they are also amazing cooks! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the floating homestay.

We've been in Vietnam for 3 months and this was one of our top 3 hotels. Everyone was very hospitable, helpful, and welcoming. The room and bathroom was very clean. Free breakfast in the morning was 7-9 AM, very tasty and healthy. The vegan restaurant they own downstairs was also very tasty. Provided housekeeping, fresh towels, and water everyday. They offered scooter rentals for 100k vnd. They also had information to several activities you could do such as cruises, bioluminescent plankton kayaking, etc for much lower costs than other places. They also helped get us a bus ride back to Hanoi for a very great price.

Peaceful retreat in Butterfly valley. We didn't know there was some bouldering in the area, otherwise we would've tried to find these. Tram was very helpful with helping us arrange transport from Haiphong airport and dropping us off in Cat Ba Town for a fee. Would definitely stay here again!
