We had a great week at Marina’s house. A perfectly located house to enjoy this beautiful island. Marina and her parents were super helpful, providing great recommendations that helped us make the most of our time on Folegandros.

This is a beautiful traditional Cycladic house overlooking a spectacular bay. It’s a twenty minute walk to Chora and there are footpaths some of the way. Returning from the village at night felt a bit dangerous since there are no lights and you are walking nearly in the road. We’d recommend renting a car so you can enjoy a late dinner. Lisbet was great. Be sure to visit her family’s cafe Pountas in Chora with its lovely back garden.

The views from the terrace are unbeatable! You have a mini market and a very good cafe for breakfast right next door. In Ano Meria you can see the sunset on the island! If you are looking for a quiet place, away from the tourist mile, you will find it here. A scooter or car is recommended!
