Family-friendly holiday rentals in Whitwell

Me and my family stayed here for my mums birthday for the weekend. It was absolutely the most perfect place to be. Beautiful, spacious and modern house. With 3 bathrooms & robes for all of us. A very generous ampunt of cookery, pots, pans, glasses for us to use, which made it easier to cook in the kitchen. Also had salt, pepper, tea and a few bits of food for us to use. We travel a lot, and this is more than any other airbnb host has given us. The Jacuzzi was the highlight of our trip, so relaxing and easy to use. The rooms were neat and the beds and beddings were so soft and comfortable, I had a great sleep here. The house had a good heating system, an easy to use oven and cooker. The location was perfect. In a quite street, but a few mins from busy areas, shopping markets, the mall, the beach, and good restaurants. The host George was also very responsive. I have so much more great things I can say about this place. I highly recommend anyone to come and experience it for yourselves.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stables. The hot tub was the real highlight and it was beautifully warm / clean. The property was amazing for children and our young boys loved the tree house climbing frame and being able to feed the sheep / goats. A great stay which we'd definitely recommend.

Wonderful hosts, kind, flexible, excellent communication and over and above to help with ferry and arrange excellent sauna as well as hot tub. Sauna so beautifully designed with the most incredible view. Will definitely be back asap. The hot tub and garden was lovely too. Cosy fire in the cottage and all mod cons needed. Very happy with our stay can’t wait to return.

Fantastic accommodation with amazing facilities. Something to suit everyone. Accommodation was very comfortable and spacious, communication by the management company was excellent, and the great location gave easy access to all amenities by car or foot. Would totally recommend and hope we can come back again in the future. It felt like a home from home.

A great break away for a few days with my Children.. The hosts (Susie/Sarah) are absolutely fabulous and were very accommodating before and during the stay. We visited Alum Bay and took the chair lift down to the beach and then a boat ride to see the Needles. The property has everything you require for a stay and even has a large fridge/Freezer to accommodate food should you if you decide to cook. A welcome basket of food including a few essentials was a nice touch! The hot tub was a massive hit with my son who was in it constantly. Thanks guys

Excellent in every way. Incredibly prompt and helpful from Justine, really the best host I’ve ever been fortunate enough to have on Airbnb. A fantastic property, couldn’t ask for more for a family stay in Ryde. Highly recommended.

Lulu and Russel were both very welcoming and accommodating during our stay. The place has everything you could possibly need and the hot tub was a great addition! The place is in a great and peaceful location with a lovely pub just up the road and only 5 mins from the beach. We would definitely recommend to others!

We stayed here over Christmas to be near family and it was ideal. The bath is a highlight and the place is very cosy but not too small. It is in the centre of the town so although no sea views it is very convenient for the shops and bus stops and just 5 minutes walk to see the sea. The car park is just across the road. Justin and Jackie were easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

This home is simply idyllic - the photos don’t do it justice. The most perfect spot with ponies and donkeys outside your window. The house is so well appointed with two of everything you’d need. And really lovely touches like games, cookbooks, grocery cupboard and a guitar. The bedrooms are divine - uber comfy beds and bedding. The bathrooms are luxurious. We hired a weekend in January for a special family birthday and all generations fully enjoyed the house. We were appreciative that this is a eco house. Paul is a brilliant host - super responsive and helpful. The only issue was having to leave - but we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely place to stay, really easy to get into town. Very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Lots of nice touches including eggs from their chickens, toiletries & board games. Felt very homely & not too cramped, even with 5 of us staying. Hosts were really friendly and accommodating. 100% recommend!

Comfortable, cosy and conveniently located cottage for exploring the South Wight. Good parking and hosts are very generously offering dogs to use their large garden. Kitchen is very well equipped so cooking proper meals is very easy to do. Can definitely recommend and would return. Hosts accommodating, friendly and very welcoming. Note for dog owners- the cottage is carpeted, being plenty of towels and throws as dogs can easily get wet, sandy and muddy around the South Wight.

Spent a wonderful few days celebrating a special birthday. The cottage was wonderful in an exceptional location for walking and recharging the batteries and enjoying a relaxing time away. Would fully recommend the cottage and location for anyone wishing for relaxation and taking time out. The scenery is enchanting and changes throughout the day. Loved everything about the time away. This was my second visit and met all my expectations. Set in the midst of a beautiful meadow surrounded by fields and woods yet a short distance from Ryde and fab beaches. It is a great location to recharge and reset. The All Seasons yurt is clean and well equipped for the cooler weather with cosy wood burner and a super comfy bed, and plenty of throws. The Kitchen is adequately supplied and Sarah provided a hamper of fresh produce on arrival. Sarah and Sue are warm and approachable. They clearly take a lot of pride in the upkeep of the yurt and surrounding meadow. It was all beautifully maintained. Very dog friendly too. There is plenty of parking and wheelbarrows to take stuff down. The shop is well stocked with extra logs, charcoal, wellies, homemade jams, chutneys, smoked garlic, marshmallows and freshly laid eggs. I cant recommend Fernhill Meadow highly enough, the perfect retreat. I will definitely be back.

We loved our New Year's break in this beautiful place. Thoughtfully decorated with many christmas-themed items especially for the season, plenty of room, spotlessly clean and very cosy thanks to a large wood burner (with firewood included!). Peter and Gwyneth were responsive and informative but largely left us to our own devices, which is exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended.

Our 2nd stay at Terry and Amanda's place in Bransgore. Great location for visiting family and cosy and warm. We slept well and had everything we needed for a filling breakfast. We will stay again.

Had a lovely break at Sandhills. The caravan was in a perfect spot with all the home from home comforts. Gareth and Marie were very helpful and prompt with any questions I had prior to our arrival. The park and surrounding area is very dog friendly and our dog loved her early morning walks on the beach.

Absolutely loved staying here! The place was incredibly clean, and the park had lots of things to do. Had an amazing sleep here as the beds were so comfortable, sheets were fresh and clean, and the environment was very quiet. Would stay here again!

Absolutely loved our long weekend in the chalet, very clean, brilliant location, 50 meter walk to the beach. Very easy to find with Linda’s directions, within a short drive of pubs, supermarkets and takeaways. Loved sitting on the sofa watching the boats come and go Thank you for letting us stay, would definitely return.

Lovely caravan in a beautiful location. So close to the beach. The caravan had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

Just had a wonderful 2 night stay with our 3 young children. It was a cosy and homely base for our exploring, and we thought the added extras of tea/coffee/biscuits were lovely. We hope to return in future :) thank you!

Had a lovely stay with family. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the property and surrounds. The living area was inviting and convivial with a cosy log fire. The host was very friendly, helpful and responsive, going out of her way to accommodate and make our stay memorable. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic location for walking & exploring. The barn is beautifully presented and stylishly furnished. Very spacious. Loved seeing the Llamas on our morning walk with our dog - on our doorstep. The New Inn pub down the road - Victoria’s tip - awesome, friendly, great food at a sensible price - try the venison or brill filets! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay for longer.
