Monthly Rentals in Whithorn

Lynne’s cottage is extremely peaceful and private with countryside views all around. There was a beautiful wood burning stove with lots of wood, which meant we were cosy and warm. This was great for us as we spent our days mostly walking on the beaches or in Galloway forest and were always a bit damp on returning. Very handy for two good pubs/restaurants- around 10 mins drive away. The beds are super comfortable, fresh and clean with lovely thick duvets. There was no Wi-Fi but the signal was fine so not a problem for us. Highly recommended holiday spot.

We had a really great stay at Harbour Sands in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. My family were very pleased with me for booking this wee house - my 12-year-old son declared “This place has everything we need”! He was right - right down to the reusable straws (+ brush) and rubber gloves! The cottage is clean and uncluttered. And warm and comfortable. It’s right by the sea - it’s so exciting to lie in bed and know that the waves are only a few metres away! Laura was a great host - thank you Laura. Local recommendations are provided (always appreciated), and there is a visitors’ book. Thank you Laura for recommending The Harbour Inn, the local pub which is just two mins walk away from the house - we went there on our first night, which was the perfect start to our mini-break.

The bothy was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed. We had a lovely relaxing time after a hectic 5 months. The beds were really comfy and Mary and her husband are lovely, came down to see we were ok and that everything was alright for us. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again. Views are beautiful. Keep doing what you are doing.
