Nice place to hunker down for a few days with the fire on close to pubs and shops

Mel’s place in an old renovated forge was such a lovely cosy stay, it was full of beautiful details and what a well stocked kitchen! So often we turn up and there aren’t proper cooking facilities and utensils, but this had it all! There were lots of little extras like the homemade brownies and granola, milk and drinks in the fridge. The bed is divine, such a comfortable nights sleep. We dodged the rain to walk up the hill behind to the old motte and Bailey and looked out over the village and then went to break its neck waterfall, you can walk there in under an hour but we chose to drive. Thank you Mel! Have intentions to come back if you will have us!

An amazing experience, both the cottage and the hosts are everything that was promised. Susan and James were extremely nice, Susans response time and eagerness is incredible even when troubling them on a Saturday evening for logs. The cottage is surreal with a picturesque stream in the front space which is incredibly peaceful to wake up to and amazing views 360° round. My partner and I would come back here in a heartbeat and the area as a whole has even made me consider moving away from cities and experience places as peaceful as Wales. Overall incredible long weekend, extremely sad to have left but worth while any day of the year. Thank you Susan & James for a wonderful experience.

This was our second stay this year at Ann’s beautiful place. It sits in the heart of Wales with stunning views of the valley. The apartment is beautifully clean, warm and cosy with a well equipped kitchen which was great for our three day stay. The bed is super comfy and the generous welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this place to family and friends etc. A beautiful gem of a find.
