Maria’s place was spotless! The area was beyond beautiful. Our family truly enjoyed the area. And loved having our morning coffees up on the upper balcony. The scenery was truly gorgeous! It’s about an hour out of the main Porto hub but totally worth the drive. I would highly recommend!

Very well equiped house to welcome a couple with kids or 2 couples. Sameiro is a very quiet area that is being improved that is sure to be even more beautiful in the future. It has beautiful shale houses, a very beautiful stream and very close to the center of Manteigas. The journey from Sameiro to Alto da Torre allows you to see the glacier valley of the Zêzere and many more places of interest. Nanda was careful to create a book with a brief history of the house where we stayed as well as points of interest: landscape/nature, gastronomy, nearby cities/towns, historical villages and what is most interesting to do in each season of the year. We had an amazing stay here. We found the peace and quiet we were looking for in a beautiful environment. Lucas, and his mother who speaks french, waited for us in town to escort us to the house. We felt very welcome before we even arrived. Even though we arrived late, we were given a big tour of the house, terrain and animals, which the kids loved. The house fits the description and did not disappoint, the outside is beautiful.

Our extended family of 8 spent a long weekend at the home, & very much enjoyed our time. We had several days of unexpected rain, unfortunately, but the spacious living room & large covered porch offered us a place to relax, open a few bottles of wine, & play games with the group each night.

A beautifully restored home with large garden - we felt very welcomed by Susana on arrival. Overall we experienced bad weather during our stay but really enjoyed relaxing by the pool on our one day of sunshine - this is a better house to stay in during the summer months to maximise usage of pool area and lovely gardens. The house is well equipped and conveniently located in the town. We enjoyed our night at the wine bar in the basement - very interesting and high quality local wines available.

Helder went above and beyond the call of duty as a host. He made amazing recommendations and arrangements for us. The house overlooks the river and we got to see the valley change as the sun shifted. It was spectacular!
