Cottage-Brown-;2-story log house

PanisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I stayed there for only one night, but I think it was too little. It should have been 2 nights because there was a small town in the area, with shops and restaurants. The nature there was very beautiful. The owner is friendly and can communicate well in English. The house is clean. The bed is very warm, warmer than any other night I slept in Japan. I like the smell of firewood. It gives a natural atmosphere.

Private Aso Cottage: Self-Catering Retreat(2 room)

KimRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We travelled as a group of five (one couple and one family of 3), and Shinya’s place was perfect with two self-contained units. The grounds were peaceful and beautiful in Autumn, and his mother’s sponge cake was a wonderful breakfast. He gave us local recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to try. The kitchen is also well equipped for eating in. We had a very restful and enjoyable time there.

100 years traditional island cuisine and old life

PaulRating, 5 stars65 months ago
The hospitality and food were off the charts! The food was unexpectedly incredible and the best meals we experienced on our three week trip. OKUMA and his wife were perfect hosts. It felt like a homestay. The accommodation is traditional and simple and the somewhat remote location is a perfect respite from the hectic cities. We walked up into the hills and around the island and travelled to Saiki and Oita.

Yufuin Station 30sec, Yellow Onsen, 'WHITE HOUSE'

혜은Rating, 5 stars5 days ago
You said it was a 30-second walk from Yufuin Station, but you can just see the accommodation right from Yufuin Station!! The sound of the train doesn't bother me as much as I thought. The room with the bed was on the second floor, so it was a little difficult to drag the carrier up, but all the facilities were perfect, so I could understand!! It was also good to buy food nearby and eat at the accommodation. The hot springs were so, so good:) I tried Airbnb for the first time and I feel so good that my first Airbnb was a success!!!! If you're going to Yufuin and don't need a ryokan, I really recommend this accommodation.

One private holiday home at the foot of Mount Aso.

LydiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a pleasant stay at Hana. It has everything we need, extra space, nice beds, ample heating (we came in on a cold winter day). Masahide-san lives on the other side of house but gave us all the freedom in our space, and we are out most time of the day anyway. Cannot fault the location if you want to see Nakadake crater and Kusasenrigahama. Kamishikimi kumamoimasu shrine is also a nearby. You do need a car to get to Hana and around Mt Aso. Strongly recommended.
