The cabin at Alto Gardens was awesome, very romantic.

We have really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it’s absolutely wonderful with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Meylin was a great and attentive host! Thank you!

Host Tati has great communication and was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. She recommended places to visit, which was very helpful. The casita was very clean and relaxing. This place is perfect if you're looking to unwind—it's very private yet close to downtown, shops, and restaurants. I would definitely book this place again! Do not forget to visit Cerro Azul restaurant for great food, friendly staff, and beautiful walk to the river.

The views were even better than a camera can take! Such a stunning place. Shame we only had 2 nights.

Excellent accommodation, the place is super beautiful and a very nice area

Honestly the pictures don't do this place justice, it's 10 times better in person! The view was probably the most gorgeous view in all of Costa Rica, we got lucky and saw double rainbows! We loved how close to town this spot was, and the restaurant in walking distance was our favorite meal our of trip!

Amazing stay! Everything was as described. Clean, spacious, local to everything La Fortuna has to offer. The hot tub was an amazing way to end a long day and the bathroom/shower is amazing! Will stay again!

We cannot recommend Mauricio’s enough! It is an incredible place, the location feels so private but only a 5 minute walk into town and we were able to see sloths daily! The pool/hot tub was amazing and the gardens made it.

Our stay was very warm and enjoyable from the beginning to the end. We had a confusion with the location by WAZE, (we recommend being guided with Google Maps) however, Silvio and his children came to us promptly and guided us to the house with a very kind and understanding attitude. The house is located on the very private property, with green field all around it, beautiful views, contact with nature, with two extremely quiet horses that can be fed carrots or blocks. The quality and care of the house is notorious, very comfortable beds, clean and equipped for the cold. The kitchenware is clean, complete and fair for any need. All amenities in excellent condition and availability as described. We were greeted with delicious banana bread, we made a bonfire in their firepit and both we and our chihuahua dog enjoy the stay.

It’s a wonderful place! Great views and surroundings, full of nature (we spotted a Tucán as soon as we arrived). The house is beautiful and cozy, and the location is great, it is closed to Ciudad Quesada, with very good privacy and security. We stay for a weekend, but it has everything you might need for a long stay. Also, Nuria was great, she is very kind, was very responsive and proactively shared everything we needed to know before the stay, including very good recommendations for food and things to do. We would definitely visit again and we would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet place to relax, spend time with your family (including pets) or even work.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights. The place is at the end of an alley and very intimate. However, the adjacent street on the other side of the creek can be a little noisy in the evening. We were two adults and a 4 year old child and it was just fine. The space was clean. The basic equipment was enough to prepare food. Olger, the host, was responsive. We would recommend the place!

Beautiful place, clean , full of nature , sleeping listening to the sound of the spectacular background river. In the morning a few steps away is the river where we could get in our feet and relax by getting in touch with simply beautiful nature. Don Jorge made us feel like family, very attentive , always attentive if we occupied something , flexible with the exit . He even told us that on another occasion we could cook tilapia . We loved it , would definitely come back again .

The cabin was great. Very secluded and peaceful with trails behind to go walking on. Sylvia was amazing, she had great local recommendations and helped us book some tours. We enjoyed our time here!

Overall, we had a great stay! This was a cute, comfortable spot with plenty of birds and frogs to watch! The only downside - there is no soundproofing, so you hear almost everything outside (from people in the playing field next door, to loud rain storms, or people walking the trails by the home). Not a deal breaker, but if you're a sensitive sleeper I'd bring ear plugs.

This was exactly as we expected. Secluded and in the middle of the rainforest. It was true jungle experience we were hoping for. Lots of space and beds inside, and the kids loved the small pool. Tons of toads, frogs, birds, lizards etc.

Loved this place. It was off the beaten path, peaceful, and private. Loved having coffee and breakfast on the porch and seeing monkeys and beautiful birds. There isn’t AC, but there is a fan, and with how much it rains off and on it was warm, but not unbearable. I do recommend bringing bug spray as it is in the jungle. I loved this area, it felt local, peaceful, and everyone was so kind. The hosts mom makes an incredible breakfast that you can pay for in cash. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

That was really great. The greenery has grown well since the photos so the garden is even prettier. There are plenty of birds and especially lots of hummingbirds to observe. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen functional and the hot water shower works great! The location in relation to La Fortuna and activities to do is perfect. We recommend it without hesitating!

The cabana is beautiful, with impressive craftsmanship. Very comfortable. The variety of birds we were able to see on the property was incredible - and such a highlight! Loved the location for a variety of shops and restaurants nearby. German and Griselda were great hosts and very responsive. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to Costa Rica!

Pictures don't do this cabin justice. It's a beautiful place surrounded by peaceful and active nature. Agustin greeted us when we arrived and made us feel right at home. It's a great place to get away from the busyness of La Fortuna. We swam in the river and took our morning coffee on the patio each day. The kitchen has what you need to make your own meals, which we did. It's a little drive each time to go places but worth it. The place can comfortably fit multiple parties. Highly recommended.

Very nice place, very good attention

The hosts are friendly, hospitable and accommodating. Breakfast was above and beyond expectations. The cabina was clean with a deck that has a view of the mountains and windmill farms on one side and beautiful pasture on the other side. We were recommended to go to dinner to Sotovento in Guayabo and the food was excellent! Helpful to note that the road leading to the cabina is long and gravel. Also, it is VERY windy which can be loud at night. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at la Cabaña Rústica! The hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive, offering plenty local recommendations. We also saw many beautiful birds on the property, including a Toucan and Montezuma Oropendola. 10/10 recommend staying here!
