It's a lovely place to stay with very friendly and helpful hosts.

Xinias cottage was super comfortable. She was welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed waking up to the sounds of her farm, with an awesome view from the open deck. it would be advisable to have a car as the location is off the usual tourist track. The house is close enough to a road so at times you can hear jack brakes from trucks. We loved staying at her place! We highly recommend it keeping in mind to have a car.

Meaghan was a great host. We loved the house and its beautiful location. Unfortunately there was a plumbing issue with the home that Meaghan tried her best to have serviced, but was unable fix. However, she offered us another house in the area that was equally beautiful for the remainder of our stay. Which worked out great. We really enjoyed the ocean views and incredible sunsets. Chontales is a bird lovers paradise where we had daily visits from toucans, green parrots, and occasionally saw scarlet macaws. The house itself was well appointed and stocked with everything you need. Swimming pool is a refreshing escape from the heat and humidity. Beds were very comfortable. We were glad the bedrooms had AC for a cool nights sleep. Keep in mind the location of Chontales is somewhat remote and there are no grocery stores, restaurants, or services nearby (the closest is 30 min away down the mountain). It was great for us to use as a home base for daily trips and excursions.

The house is spacious, comfortable and has everything you need to spend a few very pleasant days. It is clean and tidy, which made us feel very comfortable. Also, it's perfect for older adults or people with disabilities. The only detail to consider is that the park is land, so when it rains it forms mud. It would be great to place stone in that area or maybe an electric gate to reduce that inconvenience. Still, it was an excellent experience. Totally recommended!
