Cosy double bed shepherds hut on a working croft

SebbyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Perfect place for a quiet peaceful retreat. Maggi made us feel very welcome and was really helpful during a storm related power outage with hot water for drinks. The hut is small but very efficiently kitted out with all the essentials. Amazing pillows and a very warm cozy duvet make this place perfect even during colder nights. The chickens on site also supply the best eggs for all your eggy needs during your stay. The two large hounds are also very friendly and always asking for a little cuddle. The hut is quite remote and off the track but Maggi’s instructions made it very clear how to find it.

Pod- Unique space with beautiful views.

EvaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay in the Pod. Good temperature, cosy, everything we needed. One thing to take into account if you rely on public transport like us (especially in winter): there are not that many busses and for many hikes you need to go through Portree.

Clarkie's Corner

Mary was such a fantastic host! So friendly & lovely to us, made us feel welcomed (she even welcomed us with a box of chocolates!) & comfortable. She made the effort to show us around & pointed out the amenities of the airbnb. Everything that was stated in the listing was true to it. Bedroom, kitchen & bathroom are clean too!! Dryer & washing machine were easy to use. She also gave us recommendations of places to see such as the Portree town. Was truly an unforgettable honeymoon cum christmas for us!! We would definitely come back & we hope to stay at Mary’s again! (:

Creag an Loch Self Catering

KavonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Staying at Kirstie and Gordie's will be a very memorable experience for me and my girlfriend. It felt special to stay in a cabin, on a croft that had been passed down for generations in Kirstie's family. We made friends with the black sheep that roam the yard, met a seal on the shore, and also were greeted by some cows on our walks up to the main road in the morning. The cabin has everything you can need, with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The bus system can also get you around the island from the property, but does not run in the evening/night and may not be running when the roads are too icey -- so this is something to keep in mind when you are staying at Creag an Loch. Overall, Creag an Loch gave us a unique experience in Skye, to stay outside of Portree and have a peaceful, lovely space to ourselves.
