Monthly Rentals in Tonosho, Shozu District

The accommodation is filled with the care and dedication of the host. I rented a whole house away from home, but it also accommodated two additional people. The breakfast ingredients we asked for were also fresh and the homemade bread and jam were very delicious. It was a pity that we could only stay two nights because the sea was still cold and we couldn't play in the water. I want to come back next time when I canoe. Thank you very much.

The house reflects a traditional Japanese aesthetic and is located in a small, peaceful fishing hamlet. It offers non-Japanese visitors in particular an experiential glimpse into the everyday living environment of Japanese households from the post-WWII era, but with a few strategic updates that help ensure a restful stay. The kitchen is well-equipped and even includes a blender and seed grinder—rarities in Japan. There is an air conditioner/heater and an air purifier. There’s also a small yard and garden area where you can laze away the mornings over a cuppa and a good book. Anshang-sensei is a polite, professional, responsive, friendly, insightful, and helpful host and property manager. The property is strictly for guests staying there, and yet she seamlessly answers questions and helps solve problems as if she were right there with you. Wi-Fi is sufficient and stable. Were we to return to the island, we would stay here again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

The air bnb exceeded all expectations we had and we felt very fortunate in staying there! A beautiful home with beautiful surroundings. Akari went above and beyond assisting us with all sorts of questions, very quick to answer and very kind. We thank you for allowing us to stay!

Yuki and Goro’s place is spacious and comfortable. They provided helpful information about the island and were gracious hosts. The house is super close to Ieura port so you can catch the ferry easily. Really enjoyed the stay.
