Monthly Rentals in Tokyo Bay

As a military medical student, I stayed here for 1 month for an elective medical rotation at NH Yokosuka. I stayed with a classmate and slept on the living room bed. It’s a tatami mat feel with rollout futons on top. It is firm, but got used to it in a couple of nights. My classmate slept in the bedroom, which has a more Western style bed that is pretty soft. In terms of location, it is quite close to both the Yokosuka Chuo and Shioiri stations, which made traveling quite convenient. Getting to the base was super quick and easy as well. I quite enjoyed my 10min walk to the hospital on base. If I wanted to take a weekend trip to Kyoto or hakuba, then an express train from Yokosuka Chuo to Shin-Yokohama was about 45min away. Tokyo is about 75-90min away, so day trips are also doable, but it takes commitment to do it in the afternoon after work. The only downside to the location is that it is right next to the nightlife, so it gets noisy at night (esp weekends). Earplugs are a must.

The host is very responsive and helpful. He even helped us reschedule our shipment for us when it arrived earlier than our intended check-in. The place feels like newly furbished. Everything feels brand new and modern which I appreciate very much. It's a 10min walk from a train station which I don't mind since it's a friendly and quiet neighborhood.

Petty-san was such a wonderful host! From the treats she brought by during my stay to all the amenities I always felt like I was staying at a home away from home. The house is an older mid-century Japanese style space which I prefer for it's character and charm. Staying here allows one to reflect about the lives and stories that have spent their time before me. Amazing view! Will book again. Thank you!
