Holiday houses in Timpson

We absolutely loved our stay at The Dawson House! It is such a beautiful & comfortable home in a peaceful country setting just a few miles from Nacogdoches. Donna was so welcoming & offered great suggestions for restaurants. We will definitely be staying at The Dawson House the next time we are in the area.

We were in town for our grandsons 2nd birthday. This beautiful cottage was perfect for us to retreat to once his party was over. There were 8 of us that stayed and it was very comfortable and cozy for all. We were able to have son and family over that evening, decorated cookies for Christmas (an annual family tradition), played available on site card game, and fellowship together along with making many priceless memories together that will forever be treasured. Highly recommend this cottage and the hosts! They definitely went above and beyond to make sure all that would be needed was there for us. If back in this area, this will be where we stay!! :)

Second time coming and I’ll be back! Walkable to downtown Nac and the Fredonia with great restaurants, bars and the brewery. The park is next door with the Lanana Creek Trail start. Very friendly neighbors.

Definitely enjoyed our stay at this very clean and quiet home. The beds were comfortable and living room furniture looked brand new! The neighborhood was super quiet and safe. We were not far from Shreveport / Bossier City. Easy to get to places from here but we were able to thankfully come back to this retreat away from it all at the end of each day.

We stayed in this beautiful country home when visiting friends & family and there for business. This place was beautiful, peaceful, lots of space and an amazing home. I would highly recommend this place as it was so peaceful and in the country. But close to a few restaurants, lake Cherokee and situated and close drive to Kilgore, Lakeport & Longview.

Connie’s home is both beautiful and comfortable, with so many little touches that show how much she cares about her guests and wants them to feel welcome. The kitchen is well supplied and she left us a basket of goodies from the farmers market as well as good coffee and cooking oil. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and there are plenty of blankets. Everything about the house is perfect. There are many options for outdoor seating including a large and beautiful deck , a hammock and outdoor chairs in the front around the fire. It was cold while we were there but the heat kept us very warm. There is even a wood stove, but we didn’t need it despite temperatures well below freezing. Connie is both responsive and kind, she is the perfect host. We really enjoyed the house and highly recommend it if you will be in the area, or if you want to get away from it all. Personally I was motivated to visit the area after reading Attica Locke’s Highway 59 trilogy, which I recommend as well.

Excellent property for larger families or someone looking to be surrounded by nature! Unique house with extra amenities like basketball, badminton, pickleball, swimming, and more. Great place to unwind and rejuvenate. Fantastic proximity to Lake Naconiche and Nacogdoches. The location relative to the city of Nacogdoches and Stephen F Austin is a huge plus. Definitely will seek this property out in the future when staying in the area.

Parking is a little tight but other than that it’s a nice place, very comfortable!
