Amazing apartment 5 minutes walk from the bars and restaurants at the lakeside. Incredibly spacious, every possible amenity (including a cinema room), good quality furniture and equipment and a huge garage with direct access from the apartment. I would recommend without hesitation.

We had a fantastic 2-night stay as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing. A well equipped property with wonderful views of Lake Taupo. Would recommend!

Unit was clean and tidy with good quality furniture and appliances. TV the only thing that could do with being updated with a smart TV. we ended up watching TV off our computer as you could'nt bring up a USB drive or access Netflix. Be my Guest were very accommodating in letting us in earlier in the day. Was good value for money and would recommend. Has great views over the lake. Jill Walker

The patio and garden are wonderful. Lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is no air conditioning but it cooled off at night. Screens on the bedroom windows would be a nice addition. Would definitely stay here again.

Pamela was absolutely lovely, and her house was immaculate, comfortable, and in a beautiful position overlooking the marina. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom well equipped and immaculate, and the garden was an absolute joy for sitting in. We would highly recommend Pamela’s house; it is easily the loveliest of all the places we have stayed on our trip to NZ.

We loved our stay in Taupo at the Lake House! The place was beautiful, great location, and very clean. It very comfortably held a full family and the kitchen was great with all amenities needed to cook as well. The hosts were very responsive and the instructions were also clear as to how to access the location etc. Great to be right opposite a large grocery store and also be within comfortable walking distance to local cafes and the lake. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful modern and clean apartment conveniently located providing privacy and all day sun. The aircon came in handy too. Very well equipped kitchen including condiments, gladwrap etc and various cooking and serveware. Laundry facilities were also well equipped including a laundry basket, pegs and clothes line. Also included board games which the kids loved. Pool was perfect for the summer heat. Beds, blankets and pillows were very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Annette’s space, “Enigma,” is a gem of a lodging experience in Taupō. The property is located within 5 to 10 minute walks to the town centre or to Lake Taupō. I enjoyed a week’s stay, allowing me both a space to chill, to prepare my own food, soothingly clean up and shower, do my laundry and sleep very comfortably each night, from which I could easily explore the many opportunities for adventure in the greater Taupō area! Enigma is a top notch kind of lodging experience and Annette’s warmth, charm, gifts of various food items in the kitchen welcoming me, and local knowledge provided a very personal and enriching dimension to my stay in Taupō, traveling solo from California. I highly recommend Enigma to any traveler looking for comfort, a modern aesthetic and easy accessibility to the amazing adventures Taupō offers! Enjoy Enigma !

We had a wee hiccup receiving all of the instructions, but Paul and his neighbours were quick to take action and help us out. When received the info was super helpful including recommendations that we utilised (thanks!). Great location, we stayed with a small dog and could walk her in to the main city and lakeside. There was also a little area to take a lake dip 1 min walk to the wharf. Dog loved it. Private, good ammenities, great house to stay as a couple visiting Taupo for the first time.

Amazing hosts! Felt welcomed into this peaceful, private & serene bush / lake environment. Waking to the choir of Tui's and Fantails was a highlight! Studio apartment was well appointed and spacious. Modern space, clean, scrumptious linen and super comfortable bed. Would definitely return and highly recommend to all other travellers. Thankyou!

We were a family of 5 adults and 2 children, we were comfortable in the home. The onsite parking was very helpful and appreciated, easy walking to town and beautiful views of the lake.

The house was exactly as listed and worked perfectly for what we needed. A comfortable stay for four people during the Taupo 70.3. Would recommend staying and would stay again.

we absolutely loved our stay. The location is perfect, walking distance to Two Mile Bay and town with the lake on your doorstep. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need including a great bbq. The shared pool and spa are excellent. We will be back as often as possible.

Amy was an excellent host! She was very responsive and gave great suggestions for things to do in the area. She was also very accommodating and the unit was amazing! Overall had a great time!
