Monthly Rentals in Svanstein

Blake and Ilke were wonderful hosts and we absolutely loved this Airbnb. The house itself is crisp and clean. We were traveling with 2 adults and 3 kids and had more than enough space. The location was so beautiful with views of the river out the window and especially loved the balcony for viewing the northern lights. We felt safe and the area was so quiet and peaceful. We have rented many houses and Blake and Ilke were by far the most proactive and helpful hosts I’ve encountered. It honestly felt like we had a travel agent because they provided so many great recommendations and helped us plan our itinerary while there. We visited in December and were able to see the northern lights the first two nights, walked down to the reindeer farm, went dogsledding, had an incredible trip to Huuva Hideaway where we found Santa, relaxed in the sauna, and had the absolute best time as a family. I can’t recommend Lapland Lights enough.

We had a great stay! Our host Ragnar was super friendly and extremely helpful which gave us a good feeling right away. The house is in a great location and offers many opportunities for things to do in the area. Overall, we felt very comfortable, even if there are a lot of things in the house that you don't necessarily need as a vacation guest. As a result, some corners weren't quite as clean as we would have liked. Still, it was a lovely stay, and we would definitely come back! Thanks Ragnar! 😊

Lydia and I had a wonderful time at Satu's place ☺️ She is a very kind and open-minded woman who showed us everything in peace when we arrived. In addition, she gave us valuable tips for activities in the area and always responded quickly to our messages. Even at -30 degrees Celsius, the cabin was very warm and we really appreciated its equipment, e.g. the infusions for the sauna or the cross-country skiing that we were allowed to borrow. We really liked this cottage. The rooms (one with a door and the other with just curtain) have twin beds but you can easily push them together. There are electricity plugs right next to beds and plenty of hangers to hang your things. There is an amazing rocking chair, table for 6 to comfortably eat. Bathroom is attached to the main space, you only have to take 2 steps outside to get there. There is everything you might need: hairdryer, coffee maker, there was even a powder to wash your clothes in the washing machine. Sauna is comfy, pre chopped wood ready for you to enjoy. There were even sledges we could borrow (and slide down the little hill). We could see the northern lights the first night, beautiful stars. Loved this place, would definitely recommend and come back if I could.
