Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Surry County

The place was really nice in a quiet neighborhood, I wish we could have booked it in the summer to use the grill in the back, so a nice little retreat for my family it felt like home. My family would use this place again.

This cottage is hands down the best AirBnB in the entire Norfolk/Portsmouth area. Great location, great cottage and an awesome host! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and cozy. The heat didn’t go over 68 but they let us know and provided space heaters to help burn off the chill. We felt right at home and our kids loved the backyard! The only hiccup was that the bathtub took a very long time to drain. Other than that it was very central to the activities we had planned and felt like a nice little respite after our busy days!

Great place! Only one suggestion..replace the master bed frame. It’s very squeaky and the slightest bit of tossing and turning wakes you up.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Little House for our Christmas vacation. It was like staying in a bit of history while we explored Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. The location was smack-dab in the middle of everything we wanted to see making it super convenient. Spence was a very responsive and helpful host, making himself available if needed. We always have to travel with our special needs house chicken due to her deformity and hand-feeding requirements, which can make finding a property and understanding host challenging. Spence was completely understanding and treated her like any other pet asking us to just keep her off the furniture. We would absolutely stay again if we visit the area.

Our stay in E’s home was fantastic! It was very convenient to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg, where we spent our spring break! We loved the privacy of having separate bedrooms for each of us and the quiet of the neighborhood to unwind in after a busy day of fun! E’s house is extremely well kept and updated, everything was very comfortable!

It was the perfect place for our stay. We were visiting our family for Christmas week and it was only a mile and a half away. So very convenient for us. House was the perfect size for the three of us.

Excellent spot, perfect for a family or group of friends. Close enough to everything. Home was immaculate!

This Airbnb was very convenient to Severn Yachting Center. We were able to work on our boat all day and enjoy being in a home at night. The area is beautiful and peaceful. Super safe area that is right on the water! Communication with owner was top notch! Highly recommend staying here!!!

The house is in a nice neighborhood and very spacious. I really liked that it's family oriented and I was able to have my siblings, who are local, come over with their families and have a small get together. The host was also responsive and reasonable. Unlike some other places we have rented, I didn't feel like he was spying on us to constantly make sure we are following the rules. The reason why I prefer Airbnb and other vacation rentals is that they allow me to have my family all stay together so that we can spend quality time. There is nothing worse than having a host who spys on you during your stay to police who comes/goes. We are responsible renters and I'm glad Shamus was such a good host. I would definitely rent from him again!

We met Sabrina upon our arrival and she was very kind and caring and made us feel right at home. We were present with a lovely home to stay in and enjoy our family. Thank you, Sabrina.

I felt at home and welcomed. Attentive care for orderly, peaceful and really clean grounds I enjoyed the very nice bath house. Lots of hot water ! I hope to return for every visit to Williamsburg. It’s so close to everything too

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Roshana's place! From the moment we arrived, Roshana made us feel incredibly welcome. The accommodation was exactly as described, if not better. The space was spotless, well-decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Roshana went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The location was perfect, close to all the attractions and restaurants, yet in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Communication with Roshana was seamless. She was always quick to respond and very helpful with any questions I had. I truly appreciated her hospitality and attention to detail. I highly recommend staying at Roshana's place if you're visiting Norfolk. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip!

My husband and I along with our 2 dogs had great weekend stay at the Williamsburg campground. The cabin was just very clean and comfortable with all we needed for the weekend. The campground itself was wonderful with plenty of things to do, although we were there to explore Williamsburg and surrounding areas. overall a great stay and would definitely return again!!

Gayle’s place was beautiful and centrally located to everything we wanted to do in the area. The space was clean and the bed very comfortable. The host communicated well and was very helpful. We recommend!

Gayle’s place was a great location to stay at with our dog!!! Great neighborhood to walk him in and the marina/beach is an added bonus! Gayle was very communicative and check in was easy. The space of the condo was great for a family and large dog! We will definitely be staying again!

My wife and I were in town for a long weekend with family and this place was perfect. It was peaceful, quiet and private. It had everything that we needed, especially since it is pet friendly and has a fenced in yard. Rich is great host and we already booked again for the fall.

Beautiful home with a warm feeling as soon you walk in , things to do for the kids such as board games, utensils for drawing and a lot of creative history and antiques to look at throughout the home. Very beautiful and clean stay, made you feel like you’re right at home! Kelly was very responsive to my messages and is a great host was more than happy with my stay during the new years ! Thank you Kelly ! Definitely will be booking again !!!

James and Gigi were great. From check in to check out, they communicated what was needed without being intrusive. The property was just as expected and was fantastic. I can’t begin to state how helpful they were when I had a minor issue. Immediately responsive, with great resolutions and great concern for my comfort and safety. A++++

This place was really cute and has lots to do during downtime for trips! My friends and I really enjoyed doing some archery and having some coffee, and the couches were quite comfortable for our movie night. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a rural vibe, but still enjoy having some conveniences like a market in walking distance.

This was the perfect location for our weekend in Williamsburg. From the restaurant list provided by the owner, to the close proximity to the James River and equally close proximity to Starbucks, we had a perfect stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. Thanks again!
