Little bear cabin was such a nice retreat. My son and I thought it was the perfect cozy cabin to unwind before the holidays. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful, but not too far off the main road, and only 10 minutes from Cloudcroft. The driveway is definitely tricky, but we got the hang of it (parking on the upper spot) with our AWD with no problem. We certainly look forward to staying at Little Bear cabin again in the future!

This cabin offers great value if you plan to venture out and explore. It’s a perfect home base. And if you are concerned about the cold weather- don’t be as this home is amazingly toasty warm! (Gas fireplace glows hot with flip of thermostat). And yay! We had plenty of towels and toilet paper. We didn’t really make use of kitchen but it seemed well equipped. There was even a huge assortment of spices and a water cooler dispenser. We chose this home for location and accessibility for my mother who requires a walker and no stairs to entry. And for our dogs who need a fenced yard. One caveat- the backyard had no obvious lighting (side yard with second door did) and our fur babies insist on 2:00am potty breaks. I worry when I can’t see them in the dark. Other reviewers mentioned road noise. It’s true but not a huge concern at night. Regarding the beds, I do agree they could do with a comfort upgrade but every back is different. Overall I recommend!!

Cindy’s casita in Tularosa is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, Cindy’s warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home. She is by far the most welcoming, kind, and informative host I’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. The casita itself is impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Its location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet close to local attractions. Cindy went above and beyond by sharing excellent recommendations for activities, shops, and restaurants in the area, which really enhanced my trip. I can’t recommend staying here enough and would absolutely book again!
